Excellent Upgrade
I haven’t tested it hard, but ~50 rounds with a red dot and no shift. Requires no machining or permanent modifications, allows for use of irons if you remove whatever optic you’re running, and mounts tight. Biggest difficulty was removing the original rear sight plate, but that varies by rifle. I don’t know how many SKSs are accurate enough to justify magnified optics, but none of mine are. External and terminal ballistics for the x39 round are crap past 200 yards anyway. Modern red dots are a fantastic bargain and a natural match for the SKS with this rail installed. If you have an old beater SKS you can substantially upgrade it to serve as a shorter range deer rifle and/or cheap truck gun.

Holds Zero
Allowed me to put a red dot on my Norinco SKS and so far it has held zero perfectly. I recommend watching the install video on YouTube because the pictures in the instructions are very grainy. That said the written instructions are very thorough. I was able to use the level on my phone to get the mount level with the receiver but a small bubble level may be more precise.

Great part, watch what optic you use
Fit as expected. I've fired about 500 rounds without an issue. Be careful about what red dot you mount on it. I originally put a $25 Amazon red dot on it, and it hung over the action too far. Because of that, I couldn't top load with a clip. I replaced it with a Sig Romeo 5 and can now load normally.

a pain in the ass to level, but after setting it solid as all get out.
mounted this in my sks norinco paratrooper, using the instructions and lock tite provided, and it holds zero great from my mind 100 round test. It was a real pain to level the damn thing to my dust cover as instructed, and if you eyeball it it looks off even though the level says otherwise, but it works so i'm not going to bitch too much. The back up sight i sighted in first and it is pretty close to using your normal rear sight excluding of course the elevation adjustment. down the nitty gritty, if you like a red dot scout mount, this is a solid option, just have a vice and good, small magnetic level available.

Solid mount
Other than a stock this is the only modification that really works on the SKS. It is a rock solid mount for a red dot. Just make sure the red dot is fairly small otherwise it will interfere with using stripper clips.

Easy to Install.
This mount worked perfectly and holds zero quite well. It was too long to use the charging clips for the original box magazine, but since I am only using a red dot sight I adjusted the length of the rail to suit my purposes.

Had to make it work on a Zastava M59/66.
Not all pieces are useable. If you own a Yugoslavian SKS with 22mm Grenade Launcher or Zastava M59/66. Be aware that the rear support bracket will not fit in position. When it was placed under the rail and soft mounted its level was way off. I was still able to make it work, but I will probably have an issue with it holding zero. Best of luck and happy hunting.

SKS scope mount
I had an issue at first, my error, and I reached out to them on the website. They were quick to respond and gave accurate detailed information. I can't say enough positive things about them. Its a great addition to my Chinese SKS. Now with a Eotech mounted I am good for practice.

Very impressed with the sturdyness of the mount. After having it on my SKS for nearly a month and putting upwards of 500 rounds through it in that time is has remained as sturdy as when I first put it on. The instructions for installation aren't bad but they are not very detailed when it comes to removing the stock rear sight and spring so you might want to find a YouTube video that shows you how to do that. Other than that my only complaint is the fact that it is made out of aluminum instead of steel; the CNC work on it is fantastic and the quality of the material itself is fine but when shooting steel-cased ammunition the ejecting shells ding up the underside of the mount pretty good. However another up-side to the mount is the fact that one can fully field strip the rifle without having to take the mount off which is great because you can strip and clean the rifle all you want without having to worry about zeroing the optic back in next time you hit the range. Overall this is a great option for anyone who wants to add optics to their SKS without having to worry about zeroing issues other mounts have. I would recommend this to anyone... Just wish they made it out of steel.

With some mechanical aptitude it should be a breeze to install. The backup rear sight notch is usable however the front post needed to be raised a fair amount for a reasonable zero. Using the provided threat locker and a torque wrench set to 18 inch pounds it held zero just fine. Sizing concerns: Make sure you're sizing your sighting device to something around 2 & 3/4“ or less in overall length if you want to be able to load with stripper clips and remove the gas tube without having to remove anything. I had to do some minor hogging out of material on the base of a red dot to be able to get the gas tube locking lever open.

What a great product. There is now way there is a better sks rail out there. I spent a long time looking for a good sturdy rail without having to disassemble to clean the rifle. Well worth the money and i will buy another one
