Great paint for model kit
Worked well with my revell plane. It doesn't slide off the model and adheres perfectly. Used with an airbrush and brush.

Received ACTUAL metallic paints here!
Firstly, I received actual metallic paints here. After some hesitation reading the reviews of others receiving standard paints, I ordered them to give it a go since I had the option to return them. Overall, great quality, didn't have to thin these almost at all with the airbrush.

These paints should be used with an airbrush, but can be applied with a brush just be careful not to let it run.

nice selection of basic colors
As others have pointed out, the description on this page is misleading. I received the 71.174 set, which is the smaller of two sets that Vallejo calls "Basic Colors" Model Air: it contains three "primaries" (red, medium yellow, and blue), a convenience color (olive green), two shades (black and white), and two "metallics" (silver and gold). Only the gold and silver are "metallic" paints, which means they are thicker, opaque, and glossy. The other colors are "flat" rather than glossy. The colors mix well with two caveats: the blue is a staining pigment (maybe Phthalo??) and easily dominates mixtures; the black is a gritty pigment and in thin washes you might see clumps of pigment. The primary colors are relatively transparent, so it's very difficult to paint light over dark. When I applied these with synthetic paint brushes onto resin models the non-metallic colors required multiple coats. The paints are self-leveling, but a light sanding between coats is sometimes helpful. I like how the silver can be mixed with the non-metallic colors to produce a glossier, more opaque version of the latter.

Die Vallejo Farben haben mich überzeugt. Sie decken sehr gut, lassen sich gleichmäßig auftragen und trocknen sauber. Die Farben lassen sich gut mischen und eignen sich für Details ebenso wie für größere Flächen. Die Farbauswahl ist groß und sehr gelungen. Ein kleiner Nachteil ist, dass einige Farben etwas dickflüssig sind und man sie gut schütteln oder leicht verdünnen muss. Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden, die Ergebnisse sind wirklich gut und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Ich kann die Vallejo Farben klar weiterempfehlen.

Meer water dan verf. De goud kleuren zijn onbruikbaar, of ik heb een oude batch gekregen of de potjes zijn aangelengd met water, in elk geval is het niet geschikt om te schilderen (ook niet na drie kwartier schudden). De zilverkleuren hebben dan weer zoveel pigment dat het lijkt op vloeibaar tin.
