Westworld: Season 2: The Door (DVD)

GREAT Show from HBO. Love it. Very cerebral, so you better pay attention. Lets put it this way... A bunch of people I know over time raved about this show... I don't have HBO so I blew it off. After so time, I found the 1st season on DVD and it wasn't too expensive so I figured I'd give it a try. The wife and I starting watching this show and after the 3rd episode in season 1 we were thinking.... Well it's OK, but nothing to get all worked up about. It's really hard to follow, the acting is good, but you really have to pay attention to what is going on. We actually were getting ready to stop watching it, but decided to give it 1 or 2 more episodes since I spent money on it. So we watched episode 4. Well then the show flipped and went off the rails. WOW. Now we are hooked.... Great show.

This is a complex series ... you have to think just a little bit ... but what a great program. The story evolution will make you see the never ending ideas the writers have available to them. As the saying goes "if you snooze, you loose" ... and that is how the show works. Some of the reviewers complain about this and that ... just watch the and listen to the story ... if you put in just a little bit of effort the show makes pretty good viewing. Season two is taking these ideas from season one of human escape to a much newer level ... and this makes one think of the human tragedy of, and the trying to believe that, humans can live for ... ever. One thing for sure ... Dolores and Maeve are very powerful characters and they seem to be pushing the series along. I can't wait for season three.

After a great first season Westworld follows up with another excellent story. Was a fan of the movies and love what they have done with this on HBO. Amazon had an assume price on Black Friday. I do wish Amazon would stop sending movies in envelopes! Especially box sets. The way UPS throws them around (they do I worked there) the discs come lose and get scratched. But this box was in good shape! The 4K is great with a very crisp picture and High dynamic range!. Still a great deal even though not as low as Bkack Friday. Great gift for a fan! This is like a weekly movie. I think Michael Crichton would be impressed.

Westworld is one of the finest SCI FI series ever produce! The series has many cliff hangers throughout the individual episodes and seasons.

I like it . Had lots of action.

If you like thought provoking, puzzles and cerebral entertainment you're going to love this season. If you're looking for just something fun to watch and veg out on the couch like a mindless robot in Westworld then pass on season 2. For me I enjoyed every minute of it except the Shogun World parts. being right about every hint, tell and twist surely helped. The scene after the credits in the finale is my absolute favorite in the whole series, theres so many tell's in such a short scene its mind blowing. I counted 16 on my first watch, probably more still in there

We can’t get enough of this show

Avendo difficoltà a trovare la serie online ho acquistato queste edizioni blu ray, che trovo davvero niente male e molto pratiche. Amazon super, come sempre.

La prima stagione è stata una sorpresa incredibilmente grande. La seconda stagione di Westworld è il formidabile prosieguo di una storia che si schiude in nuovi orizzonti. Per che cosa è stato realmente creato il parco? Quali misteri ci sono, ancora, dietro i molti personaggi che abbiamo incontrato? Quali altri retroscena troveremo nel loro passato? Queste sono alcune delle principali domande indagate nella stagione 2, che conferma una qualità altissima in ogni suo aspetto: sceneggiatura, recitazione, scenografie, fotografia, musiche... E la qualità del 4K si fa vedere e sentire. Penso sia una delle migliori serie in assoluto partorite negli ultimi anni, consigliatissima agli amanti della fantascienza e dell'avventura. Obbligo totale per chi ha già amato alla follia (eccone uno) la prima stagione...

Además son más baratos que la colección española en formato Blu-ray normal, y por si fuera poco además de la colección 4k en castellano tiene la misma colección en formato Blu-ray normal también aunque ésta no tiene audio castellano disponible, pero sí lo tienen los discos 4k y a ese precio más bajo que en España te llevas dos colecciones. 4k y Blu-ray más barata que la Blu-ray aquí en España. Merece la pena la compra

La presentación es muy buena, la serie es de las mejores que hay,

Tout en étant en continuité avec la première saison, celle-ci s’avère foncièrement différente. Le chaos s’est installé et rétrospectivement fait prendre mieux conscience de l’ordre qui régnait dans la saison précédente. J’y ai apprécié un peu plus encore Dolorès qui est un peu l’archétype de l’héroïne blonde et s’est muée en passionaria que rien ne rebute. Je regrette pourtant qu’on nous la montre aussi peu avant le dernier épisode. « L’homme au chapeau noir » (je n’en dis pas plus pour ne pas spoiler), un Ed Harris toujours égal à lui-même, est vraiment parfait pour ce rôle. Sans oublier Maeve, un peu l’archétype de l’héroïne brune. Et le lien entre tous ceux là c’est un Bernard complètement hagard et dépassé. Ce qui peut un peu désarçonner c’est que les péripéties se déroulent sur des lieux de plus en plus différents et il n’est pas possible de faire sur le moment un lien entre tout ce qu’on voit. C’est plutôt à découvrir comme les pièces d’un puzzle qui viendront s’assembler petit à petit plus tard une fois qu’on aura commencé à reconstituer la chronologie. Je ne fais donc pas partie de celles et ceux qui ont perdu pied en cours de saison, j’y ai trouvé un intérêt constant sans vouloir y chercher des explications rationnelles et immédiates. Outre le casting et la scénographie j’ai apprécié la beauté des décors naturels et la qualité de plusieurs intérieurs. Et je signale comme dans la saison précédente l’excellence des compositions musicales de Ramin Djawadi. Il y a des bonus en nombre et plus intéressants que ceux qu’on trouve ordinairement. J’ai aussi apprécié l’existence de sous-titres « anglais pour mal entendants » qu’on peut activer simultanément avec la VO car ils retranscrivent l’intégralité des paroles émises. Aussi ceux qui trouvent malin de télécharger les épisodes se sont à coup sûr privé de tout ça. Les auteurs disent des choses intéressantes dans l’un de ces bonus. Cette série est pour eux telle une mise en garde contre l’avenir que nous concocte petit à petit la Silicon Valley, ceux qui travaillent sur l’intelligence artificielle et ses startups qui ont engrangé des fortunes. Il y a 3 niveaux d’intérêt pour les réseaux sociaux : au niveau inférieur il y a celui de ceux qui les utilisent, au niveau au-dessus il y a celui des sociétés qui engrangent toutes les données des utilisateurs qu’elles réutilisent et monnayent auprès de grands groupes commerciaux, et au niveau le pus élevé il y a l’intérêt de l’équipe dirigeante des concepteurs qui a certainement des objectifs cachés et inavouables. Donc risque de danger important dont les auteurs de la série disent avoir pris conscience en cours de la conception de leurs scénarios. Il faut leur reconnaître leur clairvoyance et leur courage à le dire. On attend donc avec d’autant plus d’intérêt la suite … pour 2020.
