Effective enough , I am using it for the first time so not show me background of noise cancellation. I found this product pretty welling blocking out songs specially crowd and other noise but doesn't work for cars and motorcycles. Over all the product is good and serves way better of its price.

The isolation depends on a good seal so deep insertion is required for best results. With the proper seal its very good. Roll the earplugs between your fingertips to squeeze the memory foam, insert quickly and hold since the memory foam takes a second or two expand and grip the inside of your ear canal. When properly inserted the earplugs should not stick out. If they are roll them again and insert it deep and hold for maximum efficacy. When an ear plug seals at the entry of the ear canal, it creates a volume of trapped air between the entrance and ear drum. Because the first half of the ear canal is fleshy it can vibrate with mechanical input—like with foot-falls or chewing on something crunchy. As the ear canal vibrates it slightly changes shape, and with changing shape its volume changes slightly, which causes the ear drum to move in and out to compensate for the changes in air pressure with volume change. This is called the occlusion effect, and it is why you hear your voice louder when you plug up your ears. I’ve been using these earplugs for the past 6 months, and they are a must have for long bike rides. I completed a 2000 km trip using them, and they were extremely comfortable throughout. They are soft on the ears and did not hurt at all. The material feels high quality, fits perfectly in the ears, and works great as a disposable use and throw option.
