Razor V-17 Child Multi-Sport Helmet

I bought this helmet for my son after his bicycle helmet was broken. The plastic coating was slowly chipping off, and then harness came undone and I didn't trust myself to properly repair it. He really liked the look of the multi-sport helmets. This one came and it is great. All the neighbor kids love it and want their moms and dads to get one for them too. I would recommend this product for a few reasons: First off, it is hard enough to get your kid to wear a helmet. Not very many kids want to wear a real bicycle helmet. They are bulky, have a pointed front and an not the best protection in the back. This helmet is a little more stylish, well made, seems much more durable than most of the helmets I had to chose from. Get this one for your kids, I think they are great!! It is also hard to order a helmet for kids online, because the sizing can be so confusing. This is great for my 5 year old, it came with extra pads, and I just put them in and it fit his head great. I would say this is going to get a lot of years out of it because when itake out the extra pads, it will fit him for quite a while.

I bought 2 of these for my young sons. One is 3 years old and the other is 2 years old. It is too big for the 2 year old, but I kind of thought it could be. It fits my 3 year old well with the extra cushion they provide. It seems other helmets run small and this one does not. It looks really nice too. It is VERY high quality. I like that it has vents in it too. I am keeping both as I know my sons will get their use of them for years to come.

The glossy purple looks terrific and the helmet as such seems to be of a decent quality. It is too big though for my 5 yr old daughter and her average size head. What I did is follow another customer's idea (given here in her feedback) - I used safety pins and put BOTH fit pads inside the helmet and... it works :) It now sits pretty firmly on my daughter's head, we'll see whether it stays like that after the first few rides ;) I generally recommend this product and don't mind it being a bit too big. After all, when the size says 5-8 yrs it's pretty obvious it may be biggish for a 5 yr old at first.

I bought it for my 6-year-old son along with Razor scooter. The size is right, and it should fit him perfectly, if there had been the thick pad, which is supposed to come with it. There was only a thin pad in the package and the helmet does not stay on his head. According to the instruction, you need a thick pad. My older son has the same kind of helmet and both thin and thick pads came with it. I sent and e-mail to the Razor customer service to send me a pad. Hopefully they will send it to us.

I absolutely love this helmet! I bought it for my 4 year old nephew for Christmas. He's a very tall bigger kid than an average 4 year old so it'll fit his head perfectly. I love the black color & it has a lot of cushion inside of it for protection. I went to Wal-Mart & Target to look for helmets & they didn't have anything as nice as this one. Plus they were more expensive. The package arrived in 2 days. Very happy with it & I highly recommend this helmet!

This is the second one of this particular helmet that I have purchased. It looked so cool that kid #2 wanted the same one so that she could feel cool like the older sibling. It comes with padding to adjust the fit and that is very easy to accomplish. The V-17 means that there are 17 vents in the helmet so that the young one's head doesn't cook. It also makes it light. A great design.

My 5 year old decided this was the helmet he wanted with his new bike. Razor is a known brand, I think they make pretty decent products, and I was happy to get him something a little more neutral (as opposed to cartoon or movie characters). We received it on time, looked great, but the first thing that struck me was the overall bulk of it. Compared to the 'walmart-style' helmets, it seemed gigantic to me. It fits him well, but to me looks gigantic on his head. As I said, it's well built and I have confidence it will protect him, but be aware it has more bulk than the cheaper (duh!) helmets available. He likes it, and that's half the battle. :^)

I purchased this helmet for my 3 year old. He wears a size 5 bike helmet. This is slightly loose but is fine for the little skateboarding he's doing...which is just me holding him and pushing him along basically. By the spring this will fit excellent. I specifically chose it because of all the vents. My son gets extra sweaty, I think this helmet will help him stay cool and it looks cool as well!
