Silencer Anti-Vibration Pump Motor Mount Base Pad for Quiet Hot Tub, Spa - 95% Noise Reduction

Mounted this under my AquaFlo XP2 1.5 HP motor in my FreeFlow Passport spa while replacing my ceramic pump seal. Always tricky pulling the motor because the mount stud bolts fall under the raised rectangular motor base. I have cut about a 3” hole centered between the stud holes to retrieve and push up the bolts. Works out perfectly that the slots molded into the rubber mount are tight and conveniently retain the motor bolts just enough to keep them from dropping back down. Fits the AquaFlo motor frame base perfectly. Put a metal washer on top of the supplied rubber washers and gently tighten it down. What an amazing sound difference. No more “brrrrrrr” being transmitted throughout my deck and house! Now you can barely hear the motor on low and pleasantly quieter on high. Easily the most return on my dollar for this isolater! It will raise your motor/pump assembly up about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. If you have hard pvc piping you may run into some challenges. But for $12, it’s worth the try, especially if taking out the motor anyways. Perfect!

I wasn't expecting much but WOW this cut the sound down tremendously! Worth every penny! Note: you will probably need to buy longer fasteners for your motor, but I just left it unbolted as it was secure enough by the hoses. Five stars!

The product seems to be doing what it is supposed to do.

Very simple but incredibly well engineered design. The pad blocks vibration from the motor on the bottom and the rubber extends through the mounting holes so the bolts are also separated from the motor. The included rubber washers isolate the nut, washer and bolts from the motor. I bought this because my new hot tub vibrated my deck when the recirculation pump kicked on. This produced a very loud and intermittent rattling noise. That issue went away and the pump is noticeably quieter while running too. The manufacturer had a piece of wood as a damper but it doesn’t work nearly was well as this does.

Needed something for pump 1 on my spa. The hum was uncomfortably loud inside of the house and on the patio. Installed this pad and used rubber washers on the bottom side of the motor plate also. I would say it reduced the droning hum by about 20-25%. Probably need a higher quality pump motor to make it better.

I bought an older hot tub, and the pump was extremely loud. The vibration was so bad it made the cabinet rattle, and no amount of screwing it to the cabinet frame was fixing the problem. I bought this as a last ditch effort before I called a repair guy and I CAN'T BELIEVE THE DIFFERENCE!!!! I removed the screws holding the pump in place (after throwing the breaker, of course) and lifted the pump gently using a crowbar. Then I slid this pad in and screwed everything back down. Easy peasy. When I turned on the power again, I was amazed. This is by far the best $$ I've spent on this project and worth way more than the $14 cost.

This made a big improvement in both the noise level and amount of vibration we were getting from our pool pump. Install was very simple and the improvement was immediate. We have now had this installed for 2 seasons, and the pad is deteriorating a bit being out in the weather, but it's still doing it's job very well and I imagine we will get another 2-3 seasons out of it before needing another pad.

My Costco Aquaterra Fairfax hot tub was loud, I used a crowbar to hold up the Watkins motor Wavemaster 6500, and slid this underneath. It is a tight squeeze, but took approximately 45 minutes. Dropped the dB from 56db to 45db on a measured meter. YMMV but for $12 it’s an easy get.
