Bonus Challenges: Hit the right combination of bullseyes to earn Feats and Gold. Checkpoint System: Restart at key chapters if fate turns against you. Keep past rewards but reset assets from the current chapter. Gold Management: Use Gold Marker Cubes and Discs to track your wealth efficiently—a Disc represents every 10 Gold. Two-Player Mode: Play as Hildegard and her boomerang-wielding sister, Hallveig, for a cooperative adventure. How to Play: Setup: Begin with "START" cards and follow the instructions. In solo play, one player makes all the decisions. In two-player mode, collaborate on choices. Gameplay: Reveal cards, read the story, and make decisions at prompted points. Choose options to move the story along. Face challenges requiring dice rolls or actions. Combat: Combat starts with specific cards detailing the encounter. Roll custom dice to resolve attacks and defenses, based on abilities and items. Track health—if it reaches zero, the game ends. Inventory and Items: Collect items to help with challenges or change the story. Items have usage instructions on the cards. Saving and Ending the Game: Pause by noting the card number and health/inventory status. The game ends based on decisions and challenge outcomes.
