High quality and easy to use
I bought as a replacement for my Kuat v3 hitch lock which was broken when someone tried to steal my Kuat rack. The new version of the Kuat 2" hitch lock does not work with the previous NV Base racks so I had to downsize to the 1.25" hitch lock in order for it to work.

Good for intended use
The hitch lock seems well made. It locks easily without need to have the key in the cylinder. Double check though that it is engaged. The shank diameter is much smaller than the receiver pin hole and really only work with the Kuat system. Don’t use it as a generic receiver pin.

Perfect fit on my Kuat Transfer V2 3 - bike rack. Easy peasy. I feel better with this little guy on.

Works like a charm
I couldn’t find this locking mechanism when I received my Kuat bike rack/hitch. I ended up finding it later, but had already opened this package and tried it out, so now I have a backup. This looks and works identical to the one that came with my hitch. Locking mechanism is smooth. It’s easy to put through the hole in my hitch and rack, so I feel secure leaving the rack on all day. I’m satisfied with this purchase.
