I was looking for a waxed cotton fabric to make a rucksack/tote bag. Normally I shop for fabric online at dedicated fabric shops, but I do also have a quick browse on Amazon as well, and I found this gem. The fabric weight and thickness (about 8oz) was perfect for the bag design I was making, making it easy to handle and sew. The waxing of this indigo/dark blue was immense and not done half-heartedly, and the only downside was the greasy feel, but to be expected when you are working with this kind of fabric! I ordered 1m, which at 150com wide was plenty for this bag I made and will likely make another smaller version as well. The fabric is only £6.99 per metre, so it is excellent value. I will certainly look to buy again in the future.

This oilskin fabric is perfect in every way - vibrant colour, has a good handle, and feels durable and thick - but my purchase arrived with an obvious dark stain in the middle of the first metre that I've tried my best to photograph. I'll lay my patterns and cut carefully as I don't want to send my order back. A disappointment, but I will try to work around it. The four stars reflects this.

This fabric is absolutely fantastic. The price is really fare not overpriced like some fabric is it allows everyone even people on a low budget to make something that is really nice.

I use this stuff for rifle rest sand bags and it is great. Would make a nice pair of legs for wet days.

Bought to put on top of my elderly dogs bed as she was incontinent. Stopped any spills going onto the bed and was easy to wipe off and clean.
