This hotel-refrigerator-sized FREEZER is all I could expect. The size is perfect for that shelf in my garage (although they don't recommend putting it in a garage because of temperature swings). It's very light, and I was able to install it with no problem. After following the directions, I put a plastic cup of water in there. It had skim ice in 45 minutes. This is great for preparing, then freezing, multiple single servings of my favorite foods.

Apartment living has its challenges. The freezer portion of the refrigerator provided by the apartment complex is extremely small. I really needed an extra freezer for additional storage. But space is prohibitive. Purchased this mini freezer and I’m very pleased. It gives me just the additional storage I need, resulting in not having to go to the grocery store as often. Good little appliance for a reasonable price.

This is a really nice freezer. It arrived quickly, in perfect condition, and worked great right out of the box. At only 47 lbs., it was easy to move into position. The adjustable front feet allowed for a rock-solid installation on my uneven utility room floor. And now, it is maintaining a very full load of food at minus five degrees, quietly and efficiently. Working perfectly so far!

There is a reason this compact freezer is several pounds lighter than most and less expensive too. It's the insulation. This one is light and costs less because it must be less well insulated than the competition. Because it runs ALL THE TIME. Literally. All. The. Time. And it's obvious how often it turns on because it makes a very audible BLONK when it clicks itself off. And you will be absolutely amazed how frequently you hear that sound throughout the day and night. That being said, it's attractive and works well. It didn't take long to cool to an adequate freezing temp right out of the box and my frozen items remained frozen from the moment I put them in it. The closed door seems to have a good seal to it and I don't get into it very often. So these aren't the reasons it runs constantly. I have the 3.0 cu ft version and it is quite large. So measure your space carefully before ordering it. I got the stainless steel version and that affects only the door. The rest of the unit is black, exactly like my full sized refrigerator and stove. And that "blonk" noise it makes (mentioned above) - do keep that in mind if it's located anywhere near your bed. It's quite possibly loud enough to wake you up (about every 15 minutes) until you get used to it. I hear it clearly from the upstairs bedroom with it positioned downstairs in the kitchen. But it's not loud enough at that distance to actually wake me up from sleep.

I needed a freezer to store vaccines to meet state requirements. This one met the requirements and hold its temperature. I cannot speak about food storage.
