Pretty cool device, works perfect would recommend!

I wanted a sound level meter that could capture peak noise levels like rifle shots. Many of the lower priced ones said they only measured the average levels. This one was supposed to measure shot noise levels and it works very nicely for that. Just turn it on, hit min/max and it will start storing the min and max values. After the event of interest has occurred, press min/max and the peak max value appears, press min and the smallest min value appears, press min/max again and the previous max level and min level are cleared and the unit is back in the min/max measuring mode again. The unit couldn't be easier to use and the readings seem accurate.

I was filming nighttime truck noise, I first cussed at it for not having the backlight. I guess I should've read the manual. Pressing the hold button for 3 sec did the trick. Measuring the aggregate noise level doesn't seem possible though. I'd guess many people buy these meters to gather evidence for noise complaint. And the city ordinance often mandate the aggregate level, not Max. The wind shield foam falls off way too easily. They'll need to improve it so that it will snap on/out rather than slide in on slippery metal. Or, at least add some rubber on the foam or the mic. I can't testify as for the accuracy. I compared it with a highly rated Android app, and this meter seemed to be 1-2 Db higher. But phone apps are not supposed to be that accurate, so I wouldn't know which one is more correct.

Just received item its small like picture. All you have to do is put in the battery just that easy. Instructions easy to follow, readable, value for money good. Have you use it before I can give it a 5 star. Overall apperance good. I'll come back to do another review on the funtionality. Okay, so I submit the first part but I guess it didn't go through but anyway, I just setup the product this isn't what I thought it was going to do. I knew it was going to monitor the noise I needed it for but I also need some kind of data that shows the level of noise. It just been sitting on the same numbers since I turned it on... No for me.

High quality brought this to test my invidia exhaust on my built wrx since the cops keep harassing me for my exhaust works fine now I can finally show them my exhaust is in the legal limit easy to use no need to buy the expensive one comes with everything you need

Does a good job with differences but I would spend more on a higher quality product the next time.

Very inaccurate. Bought this to set up home theatre speakers and while using test tone at constant volume the meter kept jumping 4 to 5 decibels a second . Free sound meter app on mobile phone is a lot more accurate

I use to measure noise coming from my in line duct. It work perfectly how many time can i use and how long this item will last who knows..

no funciona bien marca mucho ruido con un simple sonido normal. le hace falta algún tipo de calibración pero no se especifica en la publicación no me sirve sin saber como calibrarlo.
