Gujarati's Basic Econometrics provides an elementary but comprehensive introduction to econometrics without resorting to matrix algebra, calculus, or statistics beyond the elementary level. Because of the way the book is organized, it may be used at a variety of levels of rigor. For example, if matrix algebra is used, theoretical exercises may be omitted. A CD of data sets should be provided with the text.

Overall book is good and it's conent are very useful as i was really needing the book like this . To clear my things and it helps me a lot. Only star i had deducted because the binding of the book is not good it seems like in a hurry it has been done .

This is a must-read. Everything is explained clearly, in simple English. The authors boil complex statistical ideas down to understandable essentials. Well prepared Appendices of statistical terms and calculations are also provided online and at the back of every chapter.

It is a awesome work. Perhaps a must read for all students of economics and all social sciences students who are interested in statistics; particularly regression. I am very please have a copy of this. I would recommend this to psychology, education, sociology and political science students as well.

Received in an excellent condition...The book itself provides deep insight to the underlying assumptions behind econometric theories enabling an instructor or a student gain a decent knowledge on the subject...

I didn't find it very useful, Author says it's not very mathematical but I found its not the case. For better basics I would suggest Jeffrey Wooldridge.

Econometrics is one of my research area, Prof. DG lived with Econometrics. Concepts explained in a detailed manner, examples are explained in a way that everyone can understand.

I bought this as a required book for my first year PhD Economics course. Overall, I am satisfied by the rich content of the book, really recommend this for the econ geeks!
