The metal used to make the steamer basket itself seems a bit thin, which means you will have to be careful not to accidentally drop or bang things against it when washing after use; but is therefore lightweight and probably helps with more even cooking while undoubtedly giving a tad more room for fitting vegetables, etc. in the pot. It perfectly fits into my 6 quart Instant Pot Ultra 60, and I like that nearly the entire handle is covered with silicone so you don't have to worry about accidentally burning oneself while pulling it out of the pot.

this steamer basket is GREAT for use with a InstaPot or pressure cooker for making the perfect boiled eggs. I brought this to use in my business because we go through tons of eggs. This product allows me to boil to perfection anywhere from 18-24 eggs at a time. Clean up is easy, but does stain a little.

This fits perfectly in my 6Qt Instant Pot and it works well for potatoes and eggs. I like the fact that I can pull everything out at once and set the strainer in the sink (or a bowl of cold water for eggs instead of having to pull items out of the pot individually.

I bought an Electric Water Bath Canner. This is a great help. I fill it with water and bring it to a boil when getting ready to dehydrate veggies in my Excalibur dehydrator. I just put them into this basket, let them scald in the boiling water and then gently lift this basket into the adjacent sink to drain. The handle makes it o easy but, you need to wear a pot holder mitten to avoid burns from the steam. This is a great addition to my equipment. The right equipment makes it so easy. I also cook potatoes and pasta right in this basket in the water bath canner. Again, just lift it into the sink to drain. No messing with colanders or pouring out boiling water. So much safer.

Great insert. Works great in my instant pot. Love how easy it is to remove, even when hot. Feet on the bottom allows veggies to steam w/o sitting in liquid.

Perfect for steaming veggies, cooking hard boiled eggs in my (6qt) instant pot, and works for draining pasta, too. Cleans up like a dream. Great product, priced Right!

Very happy with this purchase. I have used the basket with my multipot to make bone broth and steaming vegetables; used it on my stove top for making broth. I did remove the silicone cover on the handle (my preference) without a problem. Has held up well. An excellent addition to my cookware collection.
