This shower head works so well with the magnetic attachment feature. It replaced a badly designed Delta shower faucet's handheld shower that would not stay secure in the holder, falling out and hitting me in the head several times This one has never fell, has all the adjustability needed and a good water flow. Very happy with the Moen model.

The Moen 2662EPORB 6 function hand held shower head is a good choice if you are looking for a non-plastic connection to your bathroom water supply. The “base” is a very sturdy metal connection, it serves as the interface for the hand held to attach to, magnetically. It is where the hose from the hand held connects to the metal “base”. The “base” installed easily, with a little creativity. The instruction manual is a bit sparse; it doesn’t address the 6 functions operated by the push button on the shower head. The list of contents was not correct, a screen/washer was included but not mentioned anywhere (good thing it was included). You will need to purchase some plumbers Teflon tape for the installation as noted in the instructions. I assembled the unit as instructed, using the Teflon tape, and was getting leakage at the connection between the water supply and the “base”. Attempted this two times and decided that maybe the mystery screen/washer needed to be inserted in the “base”. That solved the leakage issue. Note: the hand held has a flow restrictor in place, it doesn’t seem to impact the water flow; the “base” swivels at the hand held so you can point the hand held to the elevation you want it; the magnetic attachment with the “base” is very strong and the shower head will be well secured; the hose is very flexible and easy to manage. The rating downgrade is due primarily to the inadequate installation manual; the quality of the unit is very good. In comparison, the similar all-plastic units, which are much less inexpensive, cannot compare to this unit from a quality perspective. Spend a little more and get much more value than you get from an all plastic hand held shower head.

The water pressure at my house is quite good, but installed as-received, the water drizzled out of the Engage Magnetix shower in a limp arc. Even after removing the two (!!) flow regulators (keeping the inlet filter), the flow was barely adequate. I installed the shower inlet onto a new Moen shower arm, using the recommended teflon tape, and the shower inlet connection leaked quite a bit; I ended up having to add a sealing washer and use Teflon-impregnated pipe-thread paste to get a good seal. To be fair, the connections to either end of the hose (using telfon tape) sealed well with just hand-tightening. The shower head itself is heavy and bulky. Some of the perceived low flow problem is probably due to the available water pressure being spread across the pretty large surface of the head; great, if you like the "rain shower" effect, less so if you prefer a more concentrated spray. The head has 6 spray patterns, controlled by a push-button on the hand grip. It's an interesting control, but it feels like it may quit working fairly easily. The attachment magnet is strong, enough so that it's difficult to pull the head off of it without re-aiming the shower inlet/base.

Works fine. Hose is all metal which is what I was looking for. Even though there's a lot of plastic I have no leaks and ORB finish looks great.

As always a great Moen product! Love all the 6 different settings and the water pressure is awesome!

Disappointed. It’s all plastic. We have the brushed nickel ones which are metal so assumes this was too. Moen has never let us down before but I would definitely not recommend this. Cheap plastic.

Wanted a quality wide spray with detachable shower head to assist in cleaning shower. This one does the job. Stylish as well.

For the price, I was expecting this to be entirely made out of metal. I was disappointed about this. The screw attachments at either end of the hose seem metal. The hose itself is quite light so I'm not sure if it's metal or chromed plastic. The mount seems to be chromed plastic, including all screw parts; the only exception is the part of the mount which screws to your shower pipe; I would say that is metal. The entire shower head seems like chromed plastic. It's possible that there's metal in there somewhere. The bottom of the shower head that screws to the cord is plastic. But the whole thing is basically chromed so there's no visibly plastic parts.

This is a very good shower head. Excellent pressure and the magnetic holder works very well. I bought two of them!!
