Rocker bottom
Update but original review just after: 6 months later. Still love my black ones. Use them to cook in. Or stand around in. Keeps weight iff low back so helps with squished disk. Bought the white ones for my daughter-in-law and they are like silver white they are gorgeous . She uses them at the mall because her back pain and at home. She loves them. Be careful going up and down the stairs the first couple times to you get used to them she says . First review: Definitely similar to the shape ups but I found these to have more cushion on the edges in inside. Much more comfortable than Skechers. I almost returned them immediately because they felt too tight especially on the top of the toes but I wore them around the home for an hour and they are so comfortable. They stretched out just enough perfectly!!!. I have been wearing them around the home for a couple weeks and love cooking in them because my weight is not on my heels and not hurting my lower back. I have deep carpeted steep stairs and I have had zero issues running up and down them with these shoes on. I was concerned about stability but no issues. Stable shoes. I wouldn't use them for jumping jacks😁 I am surprised at how comfortable they are and how quickly they stretched out just enough. I would not return without wearing them for a couple of hours. I return most of my shoes because they are not what they claim. They are usually stiff Etc. I don't know if these would hold up to power walking on asphalt or trails but they do seem to be of good quality. I am loving mine at home. I did wish it had a bit more of a rocker bottom but am finding that they're more comfortable with the more give to them then the Skechers. These are much better than skechers.

Too Costly Now
Started buying them when they were $35, which was a good deal because they don't last long. They are comfortable and great for walking. But to go from $35 to $90, is just too much.

Great help with Tendonitis/Plantar Fasciitis, and even Supination too.
Have now used these as my main shoe for almost two months. So far, with really good results!!! Had developed tendonitis/plantar fasciitis in my left foot for well over six months, which was not getting better with physical therapy, just worse. When my right foot started paining me, finally realized it was due to a statin medication I had been taking. After stopping the statin, my foot pain eased. So I ordered these shoes to hopefully help accelerate healing in my tendons. And I have not been disappointed. I think these shoes have really helped my feet heal more quickly and I'm on the road to recovery. No longer having to wear a boot splint at night! And now, can go most of day without even thinking about foot pain. As an added bonus, these shoes have made a great improvement in my walk. Had been walking like a 90-year old woman due to foot pain. Now my posture and gait is SO MUCH better. At 68, I feel back to my "younger" self! Not only that, but have always had a problem with walking on the outside of my foot (supination/underpronation). The platform width, and how this shoe is made, has also seemed to help with that too. An added bonus! Very satisfied with my purchase. So much so, I just ordered a black pair as a "going to town" shoe (the white pair does get dirty-looking quickly if worn everyday). Note, a four star rating is as high as I ever rate a product. Rocker bottoms do feel weird, a bit unbalanced feeling at first. But now, I really like that. As a senior, it's good to have something that challenges your balance, which can help in the long run, to prevent disabling falls. Final note: As to size, they recommend a larger size, and I normally wear a 9.5 women's. But using their measuring chart, I should have ordered a 10.5 (they don't have a 10 size). Was worried it would be too wide. Plus the chart length was likely due to my abnormally long big toe. Ended up getting my usual 9.5 size. Concerned at first because my big toe did press up against the end of the shoe (which usually causes toe pain/ingrown toe nails). But thankfully, due to the wider toe box and soft netting on top, my big toe is not having any problems. Overall, this shoe has been comfortable to wear everyday. Again, happy with purchase and would recommend trying for anyone having foot tendon problems or plantar fasciitis.

Good for a Cheap Shoe
I have worn MBT’s and Ryn shoes for years and they have saved my knees. On a recent trip, a pair of my Ryns exploded on the plane and I was desperate for a pair of shoes with a rocker bottom because I was going to be doing a ton of walking. I bought these because the looked like they had a rocker bottom and they were cheap so I hoped they’d do. I normally wer an 8.5 in tennis shoes (8 in shoes) but the 8s fit fine. The shoes are a little narrow in the toe box and the underside is not nearly as round as it looks. They are also very lightweight — not a lot of stabilization like I’m used to. But, for cheap shoes, they worked out fine. I walked all over the place for five days and my knees and back didn’t hurt. Probably won’t be my go-to shoes but I wouldn’t hesistate to wear them again or throw them in a bag for a quick trip.

Comfortable
Update: ONE STAR. Injured the achilles area of my ankle in one short, simple walk. Caused strain and soreness that lasted days and can still feel at times— never had a problem there prior to using these. May work for you, but terrible for me!! Please be cautious. Video still accurate for where the rocker point is, etc. Original post: Comfortable, supportive without a confining stiffness. Wasn’t sure how the rocker would feel but I like it. It’s fluid and I don’t find it to be awkward. The rocking point is sort of behind the arch of the foot, seems comfortable out of the box and walking inside, but the true test will be walking for long periods. So far so good!

They fit just as I remember the shape ups!!!!
I could've cried when I put these on. I work on my feet & the decades have worn on me. I cannot be on my feet in any other style of shoe without suffering severe aches & pains from my toes all the way to my neck. I used to swear by MBTs until finances prevented those. Then I moved to Skechers shape ups. Despite being an affordable miracle shoe, they decided the world didn't need those anymore. I've been purchasing a shoe online, energy 2, but they are very expensive & too narrow. They deteriorate so fast because the material isn't made to stretch. The pair I had was literally falling apart, so I did a little digging to see if I could find anything similar in a rocker bottom shoe. I've searched Amazon before, but never came across these until a few days ago. I had to try them out. I ordered my usual size. I took them out of the box & slipped them on & stood up. I haven't had shoes that felt so great in years! They fit amazingly & they're wide enough for my slightly wide left foot. My only concern for them is longevity. I groom dogs, so they'll be in a damp environment. Honestly I'll be happy to get a few months out of them, but I hope they last longer! I'll update later if it's an issue. Until then, I'm going to be standing on cloud nine instead of a hard concrete floor at work!!:) Edit: I opted to purchase a thicker set of insoles for these since I wasn't totally comfy the first few days & now they're perfect! The insoles provided are just thin pieces of foam. Try replacing them if you don't get the results you're looking for! The extra $12 for the insoles is miniscule compared to what I've been paying for inferior shoes. I've had these almost a month now & they're still going strong! I soaked them in waterproofing spray before wearing them. Edit: the longevity is not ideal. The bottom sole started really wearing down & the pink stuff peeled off. I tried to stay on top of waterproofing the upper, but that wasn't the issue. The bottom sole isn't as sturdy and I'd like. It seemed to go flat quickly. I tried to order another brand that looked similar (the ones with a million patterns & white soles), but the rocking part was set too far back & these things smell like death even after using the waterproofing spray. I'm ordering another pair of exersteps & will try to take better care of them. Otherwise I'll just keep buying them every 4 or 5 months! Edit: do NOT tell me you're discontinuing these!!!!! Please! Don't do it! These shoes keep me alive I swear! Yeah, I've had to replace them every handful of months, but they're worth it!

The next closest shoes to Skechers Shape ups
After trying a few different brand - these are The next closest shoes to Skechers Shape ups. The Skechers Shape ups that are selling now online at the ridiculous price are NOT real Skechers, they are fake, or they are made in the early 2000s. I ordered one of them , no return, if you return you pay shipping and restocking fee. I wear 7 Wide , and these Exersteps fit perfect. The sole is not as soft as Skechers, but it feels good when walking, NOT a hard sole. Arrived on time, free shipping, good quality. I will recommend. I will order again. I also bought size 6 , they fit better even I wear size 7. I have had them for 1 1/2 year and they really hold the daily walking for an hour. Worn out on the bottom sole from walking , a little stitch on the toe is worn out but they are still OK . Very soft sole . Thank you, Exerstpes.
