I switched my standard poodle to this when she was 5 months old. At now 9 months old, it continues to keep her digestive system healthy and the rest of her too. Even my 13 year old cat likes it :)

This was recommended to me for my new young dog, Gwyneth, by my vet. Gwyneth is my first dog in decades without special conditions or allergies , therefore i do not need special food. She is very small, an 8 pound , 1 1/2 year old Chorkie rescue and needed good protein. She was eating purina at the rescue and i just went to the higher grade of this food. I read that lamb is a good protein. Some dogs develope problems with the common protein, chicken, and lamb is a less fatty protein than beef. And because she is so thin, she could use the rice. Also, i liked the idea of the shredded lamb in it. But most of all, lamb is the first ingredient. I go by calories and don't feed as much as the say to give. But, that is how i feed. The pieces were very consistent, some crumbs at the bottom of the bag but i measured them out also. Gwyn had no problem chewing the kibbles. Likes the food. Always happy to eat. Good value

My 7 year old has been eating Performatrin Ultra for his entire life. I don’t realize that I was feeding grain free and we switched to Purina Pro plan to put grains back in my dogs diet. The best part of the switch is that my dog had had soft poop his whole life with anal gland issues at times because his poop was so soft. Switching food firmed up his poop while we were still transitioning over a month. His poop is noticeably less soft with no soft poops. No probiotics have ever achieved such a change. I like the quality of the kibble with pieces of what looks like dried meat in it. We used to use food toppers on otherwise boring kibble but Purine Pro plan offers a change in texture in each meal. I also like that this is a lower calorie food than I was feeding so my dogs get more food in their bowls.

My dogs didn’t care for the dog food but they are really picky and eat raw. I liked the size of the bag and overall know it’s decent dog food. Arrived on time.

Pretty sure there was something wrong with this last package of food because my dog has been getting severely sick for the past two days only since feeding him this new bag and he’s at the point that he might need hospitalization.
