Handheld UV Black Light Torch Portable Blacklight with LED

This is a very good quality UV Black Light. Wanted to find old pet stains - other apartment renter missed and I MISSED ... Puuuurfect for kitties, dogs, ferrets, anything that runs around and might have to go potty. I also have ALLERGIES big time and so does my dog! It was kind of fun like a Pet Detective on the CASE! Found 3 extra stains I had NO CLUE that might have been there and 1 unnatural (perfectly round old stain?? uhh!) Anyway I love it! Recommend THIS BRAND! I love well made items!

I normally am a smart shopper. I look at the star ratings. I look at the reviews. I do my homework. However, this product definitely fooled me. Firstly, the batteries. The door to the battery compartment is difficult to open. The first time I went to open it, I thought for sure I broke the door because I had to use all my strength to open it. Then, when you finally got the door open and you place the batteries, you have to try to keep the batteries down while sliding the door shut. I tell you what, that was a pain. Secondly, the black light. When I got the batteries in and I got all excited, the light was very dim. I took the clear plastic off to investigate why the light was so dim and the black light prongs to connect the electricity from the unit to the black light was not secure enough. In fact, every time you moved the unit, the prongs would not touch the metal. As a result, I had to move the light around to create the light to shine much brighter (which the slightest movement would turn the light off). I had to use electrical tape to keep the black light from moving. Thirdly, the only part of the black light product that actually worked very well was the flashlight. However, I did not get this just for the flashlight. So, in conclusion, if you want a cheap, not working product, then this is perfect. *(((((((SO DISAPPOINTING))))))))*

Bought this to replace one we got fron a jewelry findings company. Works just as well if not better for a fraction of the cost

It's cheap, you get what you pay for. The blacklight is very weak, would have to be used very close to whatever you are using it to observe, or be used in utter darkness. The LED flashlight is bright enough for flashlight use. (Bought to check for scorpions in grass, but it isn't effective if any light pollution is in the area - but it was cheap, so I didn't expect a home run)

Battery installation isn't straightforward, the reflector falls out easily, and the lamp won't work properly without it (as in, not activating at all) for some reason. Other than that, once you have it all together, it works great, and emits a strong UV light in the expected range. Using it to examine mineral specimens for fluorescence.

Need to order another one . My sister loves it

I was really looking forward to using this, but unfortunately this one was a bust for me. It's very cheaply made, and not worth the money at all. Right off the bat I was unable to get it to work at all. After fiddling with it a bit, I noticed that the bulb itself is loose and unable to make a steady connection. It would flicker on and off for a few seconds, then go completely dark again. Ended up being completely worthless, this one will be going back to Amazon.

I was super disappointed by this handheld UV blacklight with LED. Even in an extremely dark room, the black light is dim. I was hoping for a stronger power.

The light was purchased as a replacement for a much older similar unit. It works, but the plastic makes it seem rather fragile. The batteries were a poor fit, tending to jam in the case. I have real concerns that the on/off switch will not last long. Unlike the older unit, the white LED lacks a protective cover. The light from the UV tube seems even, with the tube lit along it's full length. This suggests the high voltage circuit has an adequate, symmetrical output, unlike the older unit that tended to light the tube over only 2/3 of its length. As the unit is new and not used that often, I think it will last a long time. It is not stored with the batteries in place, but there is some concern that the battery compartment door may brea on repeated use. Given the poor build quality and relatively thin plastic case, I think it is rather expensive. Unfortunately I was unable to find a supply of the more sturdy built Guardlite original.

Absolute rubbish The UV black light is very dim; you would need to be in a dark room to use it.

I did not like the product I received as the black light illumination was soo low making the product useless for the purpose intended. Also noted was the very thin plastic casing and switch that awe poor quality. WIll not buy again. I had purchased this black light in order to scan painting images but the product failed miserably. I shall not buy again.

Good to have when you own a cat... You can easily discover urine stains on time and clean the spot immediately.
