Mobile Fidelity - Record Outer Sleeves (50pk)

I am much in agreement with preceding reviews of this product. They are slightly opaque, but nice and soft without being flimsy ; seem antistatic and I think that they will be durable. Good comments have already been made regarding the size of these sleeves, which seem optimum to me. A nice quality feel. If you are storing in a cupboard environment with open end to the rear, they do tend to fill with air and push out from the record sleeve when returning to store. However I have used more rigid crystal clear sleeves before, but this is a worthwhile compromise. Am about to order a second pack. Very pleased overall.

I like these covers, they can fit some gatefolds but are tight on others ie: Tone Poet releases for example, a little bit expensive but I guess keeping your vinyl collection in good condition makes them worth it.

Good quality, durable outer sleeves. They have a supple feel and don't crease and they are of good quality throughout, with a matt/slightly opaque effect (but the record is very clearly visible). The matt finish allows one to remove a record from a collection with ease. They will fit gatefolds depending on the LP. For most double LP's, they fit relatively tightly but fine, without causing any damage to the outer sleeve upon use. For a triple disc album, they are difficult (but not impossible) to fit. For some reason, I had expected more given the high price. If you own a small collection, they may be a worthwhile investment. However, if you own a large collection which needs outer sleeves and a limited budget, then there is probably much better value to be found elsewhere.

These are a good size for most LPs including gatefolds and doubles. They are made from polyethylene so they are are milky to look through so not brilliant. These are a decent thickness - I measure 100 micron (using digital micrometer, or about 3.9 mil). As they are made of polyethylene they are floppy despite the decent thickness. They are too expensive for what they are. You can get polypropylene covers the same size for a lot less than half the money that are more transparent and equally OK for archival purposes (just don't buy vinyl covers). So they are good quality sleeves - only once you have tried alternatives you probably won't repurchase. I didn't and I am a MoFi record owner. I actually rated these 3* based on £30 per pack I paid. I dropped it when I saw the current £38.50 asking price. That is a joke. Look for PP sleeves at £15 or less per 50.

These are the best of the best. That thick feel as you rub the sleeve between your fingers. It took me a few false buys until I found these gems. I will only buy these from now on to protect my records. Handles double albums & gatefolds just fine, you just have to know how to get them in carefully, but it's not a problem at all. Other brands (like Big Fudge) are not as thick as these & feel flimsy in comparison. I feel at ease knowing my sizeable collection is now properly protected. You pay for quality, but also peace of mind. Do yourself a favour & just get these. You'll thank yourself, & me that you did...

First the negative, I bought three packs of these and there was a small piece of debris that must have been between the cover and the product in one of them, as the first few sleeves had an indentation on them. Thankfully, it didn't penetrate far and only the few were affected. Otherwise, it feels like a sturdy product, I went with these mainly as they are 4mm and the others on here are 3mm. These fit a standard LP with ease, though I have not tested a gatefold yet. It looks as though it would be a bit of a squeeze. I'm happy with the purchase and will likely buy again once I go through these. [edit]Adding that they do, indeed, fit 2 LP gatefolds, with relative ease I might add. Just pinch the flaps together and slide them in, then slide the spine in. Took less than 10 seconds.

The quality is high-level and provides great protection for storing your records. The clear plastic makes the cover pop and the vinyl is is displayed clear!
