Buy for your fav teacher! This book is perfect as a read aloud for any grade class (even high schoolers enjoy a good read aloud!!!!). Since it deals with numbers and bigger numbers at that, it would be perfect for a math class or even connect to a personal finance or money related unit! Of course it would also be good for an elementary school teacher or English teacher’s classroom library! The size of this book is great and the illustrations are imaginative and creative!

I love this book! Every child should read it, as well as every member of Congress!

What a fun book - I read this as a child and bought this for my own children. A million is a very difficult concept to grasp but this book does just that. The pictures are so lively and detailed - there are lots of things to see on every page. It also goes into "billion" and "trillion." It uses everyday objects like stars and other children to help kids intellectualy grasp how much a million really is! A classic and should be in every child's home library.

Very cute and enjoyable way to demonstrate a hard to fathom number for children. Beautifully illustrated.

I have had this book for years for my kids and now grandson and nieces and nephews. It is the best book for understanding the enormity of these numbers that are used in everyday language. I think this book should be required reading not just for all grade schools, but high school and college required social science, economics, and political science classes.

Great book for imagining, stimulating and comparing concepts of large numbers. I purchased it for one of my grand-girls’ birthday but really wanted it to keep it for myself.

As a finance manager for many years I used and continue to use this book to explain how much is a million and make sure that all of the corporate analysts remember that a million is a really big number! Great teaching tool with memorable examples.
