Small and convenient
I use this to connect my old hifi setup to a more modern monitor. My Samsung M7 monitor doesn't even have a sound output so Bluetooth is the only option for better sound. However this product allows this. I wouldn't usually write a review but it has decent sound quality, decent battery life and it's 3.5mm jack makes it easy to use. You could use it in a car but I use a 3.5mm to RCA jack. Just make sure the lead is decent quality and it'll be perfect for anyone who wants a Bluetooth receiver. It's also very small - about the size of a mini chocolate from a heroes box but works really well - v happy with it

Works well with older HiFi units
Similar to a Google Audiocast, this receiver works well when plugged in to an older stereo unit with no built-in USB or Bluetooth. The small unit quality is as you would expect from Anker and the sound quality is good too. Our use case is using an older Pioneer HiFi unit from circa 1990, allowing us to stream music from our smartphones.

Bought in September. Stopped working in December, but quickly replaced by Anker.
I bought this to let my Yamaha Silent Brass play the metronome app on my phone via Bluetooth. It worked two or three times and then just stopped working. I did all the usual stuff like unpairing and repairing, turning every off and on. I tested it with a different phone and with amp and it was the same result. Eventually I worked out that it is working, but is so quiet even with volume at maximum on all devices that it is useless. Seemed like a good solution, was very straight forward to set-up, but it only lasted three months and that was with very little use. Edit to add: after a bit of a false start with the live chat on Anker's website, I emailed and they were very quick to replace the broken one. Updated the star rating in case the one that broke was a one-off and to reflect good customer service. Thank you Anker.

works extremely well compact in size.
use for my vintage style stereo in my car and it works very well, the connectivity is good and when someone calls its also provides good sound quality to the person on the phone, there doesnt seem to be any lag and its compact you can hide it away, the battery life is also good. using the item is also simple so i cannot fault this item.

Almost great
Using this with my iPhone Xr and the 3.5mm aux in my 2009 VW Passat. It works. Music is very good and the mic is ok for phone calls. It’s also tiny, which (in theory) should make it very easy to stick in a discrete place on a dashboard. Looks like a quality item. However, the positioning of the ports and buttons and mic is very poorly thought out which makes this very difficult. I wanted to leave it hidden away and not have to see it or touch it, by leaving it plugged in to my 12v USB charger so when I switch on my engine, it automatically turns on. It will automatically switch off after a while once you leave the car anyway. However, the charger port is on one side, and the 3.5mm jack on another. That means that it’s very difficult to hide in the car because you have two cables sticking out on two sides. The buttons are on yet another side, so access to them - if required - means you need to take that into consideration. And get ready to learn what the various light sequences mean. Charging, connected, charging while connected, searching, searching while connected, searching while charging etc all have different sequences. I’ve literally never ever had to check a manual to find out what various lights mean. It reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Mr Burns is giving Homer instructions during a baseball game. Overall, it works well, and it’s worth the money… …but I would love to help Anker design one in such a way that most car owners would appreciate. Feels like it was designed on autoCAD and never tested in the real world. Good, but could be great. Also, the “two devices at once” is very poorly implemented. The second device doesn’t auto connect, and even when it is connected, the first device has to disconnect to allow it to play music. EDIT 13/3/25 Eventually replaced this with a (cheaper) UGreen equivalent that resolves the annoyances with the Anker transmitter.

Update Car Audio
This little device was purchased to provide my SportKa with wireless calling and bluetooth music streaming as I didn't want to replace the head unit as this was only a second car for seldom use. For music this is brilliant, the sound quality is great and the battery life is respectable. Note if you are charging the device whilst driving you will get slight interference, but as I bring the unit in, I ensure it is charged fully before use. As another use when using my sat nav app on my phone the directions come through the speakers in real time like it would on any other car with it built it. I use a CD slot mount to hold my phone so I can easily use these features like a touch screen infotainment system. For calls this is a little hit and miss the unit plays the caller through the speakers which is excellent but as the microphone is not directly in front of you like in most built in systems, my callers find it harder to hear me. To me I only called in emergencies only so I am not to phased. A work around would be to get a longer aux cable and position the unit near to the gauge cluster for optimum voice calling but the trade off is being able to easily change track or to mute. Also wanted to say that my unit did stop working and I contacted Anker they sent out a replacement the next day, this service is amazing and I compare this level of customer service to the best out there. Would highly recommend to someone wanting to retain an OEM finish but have some updated practically.

Great product. Still going after two years of use. Connects with either my Mac or my phone. Clear sound. The battery lasts for quite a while. I have a portable battery I connect to it to charge it if I need to, so that works, and it even charges while in use.

Podłączony do starego amplitunera JVC. Jakość połączenia super. Bardzo pozytywnie zaskoczył mnie rozmiar - malutki jak pudełko zapałek.

Purchased mine almost a year ago and use it constantly for work in my older vehicles. Have used it nearly every day for 3-8+ hours at a time. Before this I had to plug in and unplug an aux cable every time I got in or out of my vehicle which was annoying and shockingly time consuming. The device has a good range to it and if it does disconnect it reconnects as soon as I'm back in range. Only issues I've had with function I'm pretty sure have been the phone, not this receiver. I've gone through areas where someone was blasting such a strong signal mobile data stopped working but it had no effect on device function or sound quality. The sound quality for music and other media is like playing a CD to my ears, plenty good for my needs. Voice quality on calls is good too. I do have to crank the volume when on a call but I think that might be a phone issue I haven't figured out rather than this device. I also have to raise my own volume sometimes but that's to be expected when your mic is a small one several feet away. Quick warning, if your phone does what mine does and immediately resumes your music after a call be sure to lower the volume again before the call fully ends. Going from a normal volume call to surprise full blast music is probably not good for your heart. The battery life is fantastic. Most days it'll outlast my phone's battery handily. The only times I've needed to charge it during work has been on extra long work days. Usually just plug it in when I get home and shut it off when my phone reports that it's charged. As far as the actual device goes it's nice and small, plenty easy to plug in however you need. When I first got it I stashed it in an unused compartment on my car's dash and plugged it in with an aux cable. In my truck I plug it straight into the CD deck with the provided plug. It's small enough you can easily hide it from prying eyes and still get full functionality. For value this product has been worth every penny for me. Took needless tedium out of the job and helped me work faster and earn more money without having to give up my music or go back to CDs.
