The Invisible String

The Invisible String was recommended by our pediatrician after my brother passed earlier this year, and I’m so grateful we found it. It explains connection, love, and grief in such a gentle, reassuring way that really clicked with my kids. The message is simple but powerful — that we’re always connected to the people we love, even when they’re not physically with us. Reading it together opened up conversations we needed to have, and it helped my children feel safe, seen, and supported during a really hard time. It’s beautifully written, beautifully illustrated, and such a comfort. Truly a 5/5 book for any family navigating loss, separation, or big feelings. Highly recommend.

My ADHD daughter has separation anxiety. Her therapist recommended this book. It’s a great book for young kids who struggle with separation anxiety. It explains how you are still connected even when apart from those who you love and you are never truly alone. We read it every night!

It is the book that you wish.No kid ever needed. I am so glad that it is here.My sweet five year old grandson has been through so much death in his little five years. He lost his data , two and a half , and he just lost his grandfather and the grandfather's dog. I am so glad that books like this exist.Because my sweet grandson and his little tender heart need books like this and his loved ones to read them.

This is my favorite children's book! I have given it to all my grand children since we are far apart. Such a sweet read.

Perfect for a young child that has lost a love one

As a school counselor, this is my all time favorite children’s book. I use this almost daily with my students (I just replace the word Heaven with die since it is public school). I have read this book hundreds of times and it always brings students comfort. From the loss of a loved one, loss of a pet, incarcerated loved one, separation anxiety, to missing someone, this book always brings hope and comfort to all who read it. I cannot recommend it enough!

We can't see it but it is there bonding us with those we love. A beautiful lesson that we are never truly alone.
