Z-wave PLUS Module for Yale Real Living Electronic Locks AYR202-ZWV-USA

Added this to a Yale lock that had a WiFi module but needed a Z wave module to allow the door lock and the alarm system to communicate. Pretty easy to set up, but I did have to call support for the lock and for the alarm to make it all work correctly. But it does work as it should.

Correction: by utilizing a Hubitat z-wave hub, I am able to control my Yale nexTouch lock remotely ( outside of the local network).

Allows us to add codes remotely to our Yale deadbolt. Can open door with the app.

I didn’t realize that my lock didn’t have this. No biggie. Takes just a minute to install and connecte to my security system very easily.

I bought this so I can integrate my door handle with Alexa and the ring alarm system cause I just moved to a new place. Definitely easy to install and works great. Highly recommend.

The z wave module would not work with the locks it said it would. I had two tech experts to my home, and both were unable to make it compatible. I am past my return window and super disappointed in this item.

The module lasts about two years and then will stop pairing. It also uses a security method that is over ten years old, these are very out of date which is why they can be slow to respond or completely disappear. If you open the module you’ll see hand wiring on some where they had to correct post-manufacturing. The next version (ZW3) for the Assure 2 Touch also has flaws, only able to connect to the zwave hub and not hop routes. These are all outsourced to a company called CA Engineering, Yale has no R&D investment and it shows.
