Grommet Kit, NEU MASTER 3/8" and 1/2" Solid Brass Grommets with Eyelets Setting Tool and Storage Box, NH1003K

Used this kit to install grommets on a college team window flag so I could use it on a lighted whip for a RZR. Simple to use, the grommets are solid and worked well for the flag and the price was great. The flag material was quite thick and double layered so the hole punch didn’t work too well for that so i used scissors to cut the material. Just what I needed for a few repairs

Kit works good for the price. The biggest problem is that the tool you use to punch a hole in the fabric doesn't go thru all the way. I used it to put 2 grommets in an American flag. Worked perfect... just had to cut the hole with scissors. I'd totally buy it again. Saved me from having to buy another new flag with grommets pre-attached. I didn't even realize that they were sold both ways.

This is a great set. Awesome video, made the process so easy. Nice case to store everything. My only complaint, only 12 grommets.

Very good quality kit. Yes, the punch could be a bit sharper but it's not a big deal to help it along with a blade. It did cut completely thru lightweight canvas. Also the grommets themselves are decent thickness compared to others I have used. For the price, you can't beat it.

This is a minimal kit for setting 1/2" and 3/8" grommets. I got it to work, but there were problems. First, the punch was quite dull. I had to sharpen the cutting edge to get it to properly cut through the 16mil tarp material I was setting the grommet in. Second, the "upsetting" to (or whatever you call it) that rolls over the inner flange of the grommet to clinch it comes in two pieces that screw together with what looks like an 8mm thread. The threads on mine were not cleanly cut, and I had to clamp one part in a vise and use channel locks to tighten the mating part in order to fully seat the two parts. But the tool set did work once I got it tweaked. And it is very inexpensive.

I had one of these kits before and when I moved, I don’t know where it went so I bought this one and I know from experience they work exceptionally well. You just don’t wanna overdrive the rivet so it’s so tight to cut the material, but you’ll get used to it. Well worth the money if you have to cut a tarp down to a smaller size.

As others stated, the cutters are very dull and you will need to sharpen them depending on the material you are working with. However, all else is great and the grommets are truly solid brass, not plated, seem durable and strong, easy to use.

Great to have these handy. All the tools work perfectly, as long as you follow the directions. Easy to use, strong and excellent price

this item with the tools was priced well but the threaded male inserts would not thread into the handle. I tried many times but kept cross threading. I achieved the job with a little improvising.

I bought this to fix something with grommets. It was very easy to use. Great quality. I’ve had for over a year. And would buy again.

As with other reviews, whilst the product is well presented there is a basic engineering fault in that the threads of the interchangeable die pieces that have to be screwed into the hammer piece do not match and they bind as soon as you attempt to screw them together. A really basic fault and the product should be withdrawn from sale.,
