Gentle on skin, tough on hair
These hard wax beads are an effective and user-friendly option for hair removal. They melt evenly, spread smoothly, and harden quickly, gripping hair without sticking aggressively to skin. Clean removal, less irritation, and professional-quality results.

For guys with thick coarse back hair something that works!
So I had some unwanted hair on my back that I wanted to remove, and by some, I mean it looks like I've been smuggling shag carpets under my shirts for years. I knew I didn't want something too runny and I didn't want to deal with the paper strips and timing; so that's when I came across this Kolua Wax for coarse hair. I was trying to decide between this formula or the one for sensitive skin but I figured with the big job and it's not in a too sensitive area like the thunder from down under, that this would be the route to go. Comes with 1lb of wax beads + popsicle sticks for application. For an entire back you're going to use most if not all of the 1lb worth of beads; it's just a lot of real estate to deal with. Also since I didn't have a wax warmer I had to go the ol microwave carefully route. These beads melted SURPRISINGLY well and once reached the "honey-like" consistency I knew it was showtime. Note this did take a few minutes, and definitely don't rush this process you DO NOT want molten hot wax poured on you (unless you're into that, and if so there's other waxes that can be used for that purpose). Now obviously since it was my back I needed help applying it to the regions of interest and my volunteer wax-specialist said application was easy. Once you form a nice little wax "strip" it takes a few seconds for it to start to harden, but it's still too malleable for pulling purposes. The directions are spot on that once the wax is cool and no longer sticky to the touch it's good to pull. I'm not going to beat around the bush, it is painful at times, borderline getting hit with a whip level pain, but theres minimal wax residue left over, minimal irritation, and it absolutely clears house. If the wax has been applied thick enough and cooled to the right consistency, every hair follicle in that region is going the way of the dodo. What's interesting is that they recommend 1/4" length of hair and some of my hair met that requirement, other hairs were 1/2" or longer and the wax removed all of it without a hitch. I didn't need to double back and go for a second round, though I probably would've refrained from that because once you're done, you're done. You throw in the towel because there's only so much punishment one can take at a time. In the end, a job like this at a reputable salon would run $140 + tip depending on where you go. So for ~$20, AND it being our first time attempting such a monumentous task, I am very impressed with the result. My ENTIRE back is smooth, it's clean, and as mentioned irritation was kept to a minimum. No harsh chemical smells or any smell at all for that matter which for me was another big plus. All in all if you have coarse, ethnic hair or you really just want to eliminate all trace of hair in a trouble spot, you'll be hard pressed to find a product that does what this Kolua Wax does with the same level of ease.

Great wax for coarse facial hair
I have the wax warmer from this brand from forever ago... years ago, but it is still one of the best. The blue beads of the samples I got in the warmer were the best for me... for... facial hair, chin and mustache. This stuff works well and you don't need too much for the face. It does stick to coarse hair. There is a scent, but it's a nice, beachy smell, kind of oceanic and subtle. Really good value for the bag size you get. I used it tonight and it got the job done. Like all hard wax, there is a learning curve and I recommend watching videos of how to shape the strip and how to pull it, how to apply pressure when putting the wax down, etc. I really like these beads. I will be back for more when my bag runs out. My hair is thick and coarse, so I need stuff that can yank it out and keep it gone for a while, so this will do nicely. I don't use these for my legs. There is another color of bead for waxing legs that this brand makes, but I also just don't trust myself to wax such a large area. Still, for what I need these for, they work great.

Slow warming and Temperature is Key!
I'm still a newbie to home waxing. I was recently mesmerized by a YouTube video showing the magic of using Hard Wax beans for hair removal and decided to purchase a warmer and various brands of Hard Wax Beans. When this arrived, I thought the free Lei was a nice touch, I love little touches like this! Now onto the wax itself... Ok, so the 1st time I used it, I'd just finished working a night shift and after getting home, I thought it'd be a great time to try out my new Kolua Wax, because we all make such WONDERFUL choices after being awake for 15 hours and running on the fumes of an energy drink! Ha,ha,ha! I poured about 1/4 of bag into the warmer and cranked it up as hot as I could get it, because I wanted to melt it down as fast as possible so I could get down to business. After about 15 min it was melted down and I scaled the temperature back to 160, so I wouldn't end up with 3rd degree burns. I dipped the stick into it and as I twirled it, I noticed that it was REALLY watery and stringy-but whatever! I twirled away the strings as best as I could and sitting up on the sink with my legs opened, I attempted to give myself a Bazillion bikini wax. I didn't want to do too big of an area, to start off with, so I applied about a 1" dab onto my crotch. Again, LOTS of strings as I pulled the stick away. I waited a minute, grabbed a corner of the wax, took a deep breath and PULLED as hard and as fast as I could. AAAACK!!!!! Unfortunately, instead of pulling away in a nice solid strip, it was like GUM stuck to my pubes and skin.... OMG... It was a NIGHTMARE... I was trying to pull out these evil little balls of wax, with my pubic hair stuck to it; it was like the Chinese Death of a Thousand Cuts... At one point, I tried to pry it off with scissors, but I was afraid of cutting myself, so I stopped. I just could NOT get it out. I finally resigned myself to having to spend the next few months with this gob of wax stuck to my lady bits, until it grew out enough for me to cut it out. Anyways, I cleaned out the rest of the wax from the warmer and put it away. Eventually, I was able to get the rest of the wax out of my pubes using frequent applications of coconut oil and shampoo and conditioner. I was a little gun shy after this experience, but I decided to give it another go. This time, I decided to try using it after being well rested. I also decided to SLOWLY warm up the wax, instead of melting it down as fast as possible. I set my warmer to 185 degrees and after about 45 minutes it had melted down nicely. WOW-what a difference!!! This time it wasn't watery, it was a nice honey like consistency and not nearly as stringy as it was the 1st time I used it AND it came off in one piece, instead of breaking apart like gum. With about 1/4 of the bag, I was able to wax my face, my armpits, my abdomen and give myself a brazilin.. Some areas did take more than 1 application to complete, but each time I pulled the strips away, there was hair on it, so it was doing the job nicely. I decided to give 4 stars instead of 5, because like other's have said, it didn't do a good job with removing leg hair, maybe once I get more efficient with waxing, I'll be able to make it work for my legs, and if so, I'll change it to 5 stars. But, it's a good deal, the bag will last for awhile and it smells pleasant, so I'd recommend trying this. I'm still experimenting with waxing, to see what brand of wax I like best, but I could see myself purchasing this one again.

These wax beads made me realize that the wax beads I had previously been using sucked! I just used these ones for the first time today and I was honestly shocked that my waxing experience could be this great (aside from the fact that I’m literally ripping hairs out). This wax pulled almost all the hairs out by the root and stuck very minimally to my actual skin. The smell is light and pleasant also. The thing I noticed the most is that the temperature of the melted wax seemed so much cooler than I expected — it was only pleasantly warm even though it had reached the right consistency to begin waxing. The other brand I was using would be quite hot when it reached a honey-like consistency and sometimes it even felt like it was burning my skin slightly. These wax beads are the total opposite! I guess I’ve just been using horrible wax this whole time but now that I’ve tried this brand I doubt I’ll ever try anything else! 10/10

One of the best hard wax I have used till date. Best for the beginners and quite easy to use. It’s not at all messy and works like magic, it even pulls out smallest hairs. I used two applications on the same area only when needed e.g. armpits but for arms I just required one application :D I will repurchase this again in future.

I've used quite a few waxes, and this is the best one I've found yet. Gets short hairs, goes on easily and comes off cleanly. Easy to work with. Only fault, needs to come with better instructions, ie what temp range to heat to as only says "low heat" and "honey consistency"
