Great product, plenty of sockets for my home lab. Would buy again.

Easy to install. The back outlets are handy to power the rack components while the front outlets are spares for test stuff. I got it plugged in at home directly to a 20A/120V home run (direct run to the breaker panel) and this baby has one heck of a thick AC cord. So, it looks like it can easily power the stuff on the rack.

Perfect addition to the rack. It streamlined power distribution and cleaned up the rack. I looked at other PDU's and this one was the best bang for the value. Other nice feature is the outlets in front, which allows easy temporary power.

Seems to sit and power just like intended. Seems well built. However, the rocker switch is weirdly sensitive and barely pushing bottom even without click will sever power. Do not hesitate and no problem, but I've never had a power strip rocker act like that. Second, it comes with many ports which is awesome but one of them closest to the powet input came ground locked. This usually happens when it has sustained some damage, as a piece of metal is literally blocking the ground port. Result is one less ground plug, the ungrounded prongs do work for no ground needed loads. Surely it's just a defect on mine and they are not all that way. The indicator says it is still surge protecting so that makes me feel good. Good value for money esp. if you get a good switch and all ports!

Picked up this 16 outlet for the same price as an 8 and now I have plenty of room to spare for speakers, monitors, printers, outboard sound controllers, and virtually everything else that's accumulated requiring its own power. Best feature is now having plugs on the front for those inevitable occasional, extraneous peripherals like USB powerblocks to recharge wireless cell phones, and bluetooth headphones, gimbles and whatever else. It would be a crime not to go with the 16.

StarTech is a great brand. I've been using their products for years. I've been in IT since 1994 and I would recommend them.

Handles multiple plug-ins well. FYI every outlet has 15A (Amps) but you don't won't to risk going over that amount. Make sure to check the A (Amps) level on the device your plugging in that it doesn't accede over 15A. This is a safety best practice to avoid potential fire break outs or wire/device damage. This PDU Strip is built to protect against that but you never know, be safe!
