Item shipped was as described. Works great.

Item arrived quickly after ordering and was packed well. When I popped open the lid to load a game disc, I noticed that the lid would not stay closed. I found that I had to fiddle with the latch, by hand, in order to help it stay closed. I was willing to overlook and accept that defect. Unfortunately, once I hit the power, I heard a loud hum. I also realized that the disc was not spinning. No matter what I tried it was not going to work. I unplugged it and started thinking about my options - one of them being returning the item. I'm very disappointed. 😞🤷‍♂️

Oh I'm in heaven right now! I had purchased this as a Christmas gift to me after my old PlayStation 1 stopped working. Luckily I was able to find this and it arrived on time. Very well packaged and comes with connection and one awesome controller 🎮 I couldn't be happier. I tested the console and works great. I was able to play Parasite Eve for the holidays and it was an amazing experience! Highly recommend for retro gamers out there.

Absolutely happy with the playstation one and it's quality. Everything works as it should and they included a dual shock controller. The shipping was slower than expected which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. I went with this one specifically because it had prime 2 day shipping and instead arrived 6 days later, 4 days after expected delivery date. But overall very happy

Excellent value and it works just the way I remember it did 30 years ago.

The lid has trouble closing but it stays closed when it does. The AV port in the back was mashed down or something, as the AV cable was SO DIFFICULT to slot in, but it got in there. The controller was wrapped with electrical tape about halfway in, which tells me theres a break in the cord, and the controller confirms it as its very difficult to press START (bit it still does work). The main thing though, it reads/plays my discs and memory cards like new. Thats the main thing. If it werent for the 3 issues above I would rate this 5 stars. As it is Im only giving 3. I realize its a 30 year old console, but if theyre gonna charge 100$ for a "renewed" one I would prefer it to at least have a lid I can close without issue (and a controller I can press START on....how else can I START my games??). Fortunately I can fix this stuff myself, but I dont think I should have to spend the time on it.

Wonderful item! Looks as if it was brand new! Amazing purchase.

I just received this unit today, and unfortunately, it is non-functional. The button that opens the lid is stuck and the lid will not close. I was not able to release the button and am in the process of returning it. This unit also looks like it has seen better days as it has nicks, is discolored, and has dust in the disc chamber and along the vents. Early this month, I ordered two PlayStation 1 units. The one I received a week ago was in perfect condition and operates beautifully - I wrote a very positive review about it. However, this unit I received today, has issues and it will be returned.
