EagleTac D25A Clicky Cool White XM-L2 LED Flashlight

I have one of these lights that is my everyday carry light. I am an investigator by profession and have a lot of flashlights for various purposes, so I tend to put lights through their paces. I carry a flashlight and a knife with me as basic standard equipment and this is the light that fits that minimum requirement the best. It is a single AA battery available anywhere and very bright at its brightest level, with a low moonlight level for when you need just enough light to see. There are also a couple of strobe modes that can be handy when needed but there is no momentary silent light touch "light on" function but there are other lights for that purpose I carry when I need them. A quick quarter twist of the head gives you different functions when you push the rear click switch quickly. Tighten the head and you have the brightest beam and a second button push gives you strobe. The click is not loud or a hard press either like some other lights out there. For the money you get a lot of light out of One AA battery, no CR 123 batteries that are powerful but more expensive when they die at the wrong time, might be hard to find. This comes with a belt case, that I don't use as I carry enough on my belt as it is, the attached pocket clip works great on the inside edge of my pants to get to it easily. I bought this as a spare/backup in case I lose the one I have and I am glad I did.

The craftsmanship on the clip is unsatisfactory. The clip is not tight against the light body which keeps it from holding to the outside of a pants pocket or any material. One of the clip fasteners is stripped on the head and cross threaded into the light body.

I use the Eagle tac D25A for every day carry. It's small, tuff, and brite for such a small light of it's size. I recommend.

Great EDC flashlight, small yet powerful and takes batteries from any local store

This light is my EDC and is attached to my key ring. It is the brightest single AA light from a reputable manufacturer that I could find. I've been using it for a couple years now and it hasn't failed me once. I have many CR123 lights, but I wanted something that used batteries that are available anywhere. The AA battery is the easiest to find no matter where you are.
