End of evolution for carry belts
Having completely destroyed over a dozen leather belts over the years, finally decided to try a web alternative, and now I feel a little stupid for waiting so long. This belt will very likely outlive you. Add it to the list of items in your will, leave it to someone who will use it every day and it will probably outlive them too. It is tough. It is substantial. There is no 'foolin around' with this belt - your pants (and your holster) are STAYING on your hip - period. God forbid you get it caught on a train or something, because you will tear in half before the belt does. Yes - it's a little on the big and heavy side. Yes - it's too wide to wear with dress slacks. Yes - it takes a day or so to break it in and get it flexible enough to adjust easily. Yes - it's obviously a weapons-grade piece of gear - not much stealth to it. And Yes - you will have to remove it for TSA - the steel is hard and thick. Great with jeans, BDUs, operator gear and even most duty quality 'docker' type pants (5.11, etc.). Unusable with dress slacks in any fashion, so detectives look elsewhere, but beats the tar out of a doubled duty belt, and carries twice as much more comfortably. No more holster flopping over letting your weapon hit the deck or toilet when nature calls. No more trying to yank up your drawers after a sprint (ever wonder why most belts seem to slip DOWN so easily, but are so darn hard to pull back UP?). No more getting pinched because one hole was just a tad loose and the next was just a tad too tight. No more broken buckle arm during a tumble or scuffle - it's NOT going to happen. IWB, OWB - whatever; your weapon is STAYING with you. If, every waking hour of every day, you need to carry a weapon or gear, don't have to wear dress slacks, and care more about durability and getting the job done than 'fashion', this will be the last belt you ever buy. I personally think it looks fine (my wife dissents), and when I think about how well it does it's job, it gets as pretty and sexy as a plain but 'healthy' girl at closing time. If you regularly read GQ or shop at Barney's this probably isn't your belt - for the rest of us - it is absolutely, simply perfect for what it does. Just sayin. Would I trust my life to a belt? Not until recently, but now, no problem - as long as it was this belt. No surprises, no excuses, no "ifs ands or buts" - that's my kind of gear.

Great belt
I decided to upgrade my belt when switching over from the UCP (digital camo that everyone will incorrectlt call ACU) to the new OCP. The standard issue Army belt is fine, but I had two issues with it that this belt solves: 1. The regular belt slips like crazy after continued physical activity. This belt has a heavy duty buckle as well as velcro on the end for a secure fit 2. If you're in between sizes like me, the regular belt either gives you 1 inch of slack or upwards of 14 that you gotta hope tucks right into a belt loop or else it all hangs out. This belt has a long run of velcro, so no matter how much slack you have, you can secure it. Two complaints I've heard that I think are dumb but I'll still note are that it's heavy and it's annoying to unvelcro at the urinal. So if an extra pound or having to take 5 sec longer to piss is a dealbreaker then stick with what the Army gives you. Overall it's a solid belt. I've seen plenty of others wearing it so if you're worried about being out of regs, you should be fine seeing as they sell this exact belt on most bases next to the standard one.

strong belt
So I've had this belt going on 2 years and it's still strong. I wear it every day for work (construction) and it has had up admirably through some rough abuse. Belt does run large, I bought the medium and usually wear a 38 pants. Tried the large initially, way too much excess belt left over after its fastened. It's a slight pain to work back through the metal buckle to fasten at first, but you get used to it. Velcro still holds very well. I like this better than the leather belts I used for years at work.

Manufactured to a high standard and value for money !
In my opinion these Blackhawk CQB/Rigger's Belt would rate as one of the ultimate field belts. I have owned one for a number of years and it has served me well but it appears to have shrunk over time. These belts have a multitude of uses other than just holding your pants up and you can hang almost anything off them. Just a good solid field or general duties belt. The thing I like about them is that they don’t slip. Manufactured to the highest standard. Sizing specifications are accurate. There are cheaper brands on the market but if you are going to buy tactical/field gear buy the best you can afford.

My go to belt when in uniform
I was impressed when I got this belt. The medium has fit my waist really well, I've been between 31-34 inches. It is more solid durable than I had expected and the coyote color works with ACU regs and I don't think I'll catch any problems with OCP or Multicam. It has been my belt for Air Assault school, 4 years at West Point, and flight school and its still going strong! **2 year update: Its holding up great and is my day to day belt. It has started to get the classic pulled down/bent curve vertically in the belt but it feels as strong as ever and looks almost like new. ****5 year update: I wear this with my ACUs day to day and its awesome. Its been wet, cut, dragged, muddy, burned, and washed a lot. The velcro has had some dirt crusted in it but its still sticking fine.

Everything I wanted
Its a riggers belt. Its kinda hard to mess that up. Buckles are very heavy and attached well. The belt is wide enough to be sturdy enough to hold a pistol rig be it a drop holster or a belt holster (1 3/4 inches wide) and it also fits the loops of blue jeans. I have a 32 inch waist and the med leaves me about 6 inches. The Velcro holds up well. i saw a few reviews that were knocking it for making noise when taking it off. yeah its velcro what did you expect? at the same time friction buckles on these type belts make noise when you put them on or take them off. If you want stealth get a belt with a normal buckle if you want a perfect fitting belt that the end doesn't flop around and get caught on stuff get this belt.

A great all-around belt
I was looking for a belt that could comfortably support my Springfield XD in its service holster - my everyday belt tends to warp a bit and feels like it's sagging even when it's cinched uncomfortably tight. This belt completely fixed that problem. It's not too heavy, though does appear to be built very well. The nylon is of decent thickness (thicker than the standard BDU belt), but not as stiff (or heavy) as the instructor's belt. I feel it's a perfect balance. Honestly, I'm not planning to rappel down a tower using just a hip belt anytime soon (or ever), so I really don't care what forge Blackhawk! is using for these buckles. The bottom line, for me, is that it does its job very well and is offered at a great price.

It is secured by the hook and loop strap that is sleek and trim to look like an integrated part of the belt system
I own a military version of the Rigger's belt that is manufactured by Eagle Industries. When I wanted one for a friend, I looked at several versions on the market, including some that were simply cheap knockoffs that were simply no where close to a quality grade belt that you could trust in survival situations. I found the Blackhawk Rigger's belt, bought it, and have no regrets. This belt is built out of top grade materials, sewn very cleanly and trimmed to look sharp! The buckle is strong and the attachment metal hoop is durable and strong. It is secured by the hook and loop strap that is sleek and trim to look like an integrated part of the belt system. I would recommend this belt.
