Creative SBS 380 2.1 Speakers

These are good speakers for the price. This time, I found the price on Amazon even less than Ebay. So, if you have tight budget like me, go for it. The competetion for me was between logitech R20 which are still cheaper. I am traditionally a logitech fan but i saw some bad comments on Amazon for R20 so I went with these. I have a good home theater system and expensive Klipsch 2.1 speakers. These speakers are far less quality than them. But then I remember that I paid hundreds for them and these are less than $30. The speaker clarity is acceptable. The Bass is little too hi than I require and there is no control for that. But there is a neat master switch and volume control on right speaker. My Klipsch speakers has master switch on the sub-woofer which makes it tough to operate. But, although cheap priced, creative has not made such dumb mistakes. The volume is good for a small room. If you are not a gamer or listen to music on your pc these speakers will serve you well. Note that I am using these speakers only 2 months and I hope they take me at least one more year.

These speakers sound good and are inexpensive. Their subtle black and sliver styling matches well with most recent computer equipment including monitors, laptops, and mice. The bass has the ability to overwhelm the satellites, so be sure to place the sub on the floor and as far back as possible to tone it down a bit. I've used these speakers to listen to rap, jazz, and watch DVDs on my computer. While they don't sound as good as my home theater system they get the job done. I highly recommend them for anyone on a budget or looking to purchase speakers for a second computer or a laptop that mainly sits on a desk.

Creative SBS 380 2.1 Speakers I needed some speakers with a headphone jack and subwoofer for a newly re-built PC. The new motherboard didn't support the old Boston Acoustics digital speakers I was using with the original motherboard. These analog speakers do the job without breaking the bank. Not the highest fidelity in the world, but for my purposes they are perfect.

I bought these speakers thinking that the bad reviews were probably just that--bad reviews. Unfortunately they turned out to be spot on. There is way too much muddy sounding bass produced by the subwoofer, and there is no way to reduce it except by using an equalizer such as through Itunes. And the satellite speakers, besides sounding tinny, produced very little sound. With everything turned to max that could be maxed, the volume was moderate--forget about cranking it up a bit for a song that you like. In this case you really do get what you pay for.

There isnt enough power to drive the powerful sound that is desired from this 2.1 system. There is much left to be desired with the low bass notes as well as the mids and trebles as they only sound good with an optimal volume and song type. The subwoofer adds almost no additional elements for appreciation

delivered 4/12/2007, have a fairly good sound BUT. There appears to be a short or mis-connection to the right speaker unit. the wire does not plug in solidly and has no sound coming from the right speaker. There appears to be a positional problem with the power. You have to "move or wiggle" the cord for it to make electrical connection. The speakers were inexpensive but not worth the problems. I think there is a design or production flaw. Save your time don't order. You'll only have to replace.

Realized my pair of reliable harmon kardons at work were dead mid day dec 28th, and looked on amazon for a set of speakers that are at least upto par with the previous. didnt' really want to spend too much money so this set seemed like the best in the price range. There's even a rebate for 10 bucks (which I will hopefully get). I placed the order with regular shipping and amazon estimated delivery Jan 4-8, but when I came home on the 29th it had already been delivered! This is by far the best shipping I've gotten from amazon, and they have been pretty good in the past too. Save money and use regular shipping, its' "hella fast"! These speakers are pretty good. I doubt you can find anything else with this quality for the same price. I can safely say, these speakers are almost as good as the $[...]+ harmon kardon speakers I had before.

When I purchased this system I had very low expectations about its performance based on the price. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the silky bass this system pushes out. The higher frequencies are somewhat muted, but overall a solid system. The volume could be a tad more though, but adequate.
