This device comes to my hears in star citizen. is it compatible with sc. do i need anything else? is it complicated to use and requires lots of tweaks

Yes, it’s compatible with Star Citizen. I’m a fellow Star Citizen I have the complete system an used it a lot. g00seman007 is my SC name... I look forward to seeing you in the verse. I play with a 32inch ultrawide alienware monitor at 1440p. Once you use it you will never want to go back. Get the complete system you might want to add Go Pro head tracking head band strap. I used that to clamp the IR emitters to instead of a hat.

Say hypothetically I was playing a shooter, would the head control the aim? Would I be able to configure it to other buttons?

It works great with games that integrate the device, like Arma 2/3. It is a camera control for the head, independent of movement controls. So you can be looking in the opposite direction of the way you are running. Not sure if it will work with basic shooters like COD or BF

Wait, the device on the clip has a usb wire running to the camera? doesn't that get in the way?

One device, the IR camera, sits on your monitor with a USB cord that runs down the back. The second device is a cheap clip that attaches to a hat or headphones and has reflective tape on three points.. unless you spring for the upgrade which will clip to your headphones and has a cord that will trail your headphone cord to a USB plug

will this work with 3 monitor set ups?

Yes it will, I have personally tried it before, now, I use vr and track ir on 4K and it works great there, as well. Great question.
