Great Little Tool!
Problem solving gear/bearing puller. Depth is about 2 inches to the back of what is being pulled. Jaws are tapered which gets you into tight spaces (about 1mm between bearing and collar in this case, an ametek vac motor spindle). Can handle about 1 3/8" diameter. Very solid construction.

Worked like a champ
It was well made and have several options to reverse the arms. It fitted well onto the race and the assembly stayed together as I remove the bearing. The bearing on my Sears table saw was gone and I tried every tool I have in my tool boxes. I always wanted to buy a bearing puller, but usually borrowed from Auto Zone or OReilly. They did not have one to fit this particular shaft and assembly, so I finally broke down and purchased this item. I saw several negative reviews and they "MAY" have been from improper use. You have to tap the head every time you tighten the screw. You JUST cannot keep turning the screw and expect the bearing to pop off. It may not work for some of my auto mechanic repairs, but 'Hey" Auto Zone is right around the corner.

worked ax expected ...mostly
used on a chrysler minivan rear wiper that got broken off, metal on tip mashed in on first use. got the wiper arm off but had to use a nut to keep it from skidding off. surprised at how soft the metal on the screw part was.. gripper brackets were fine

Junk
JUNK. Made out of soft steel. Threads striped out and cross bar bowed. Just pulling a bearing off a armature. Did get it off but never can be used again.

Made of soft metal
Mostly works but the end of the screw sank into my armature shaft which is crazy because I wasn’t even using that much force

Heavy cast iron.
I work on machinery with many small pulleys and gears. This is small enough to get into tight spaces and is well made. The side adjusting screws help keep the jaws from sliding off the pulleys or gears. It was just what I was looking for and was not very expensive. My only complaint is that the handle will slide off the turning knuckle and drive you crazy. I solved that problem with a rubber foot or bumper that is pressed on by hand. Now the handle stays but still slides.
