Good quality and easy release
Theres a LOT of crap tempting one pound Chinese ones out there. This though, is great! Good suction, nice and tight and overall makes desoldering a lot easier, spend the money and you won't regret it

Superb solder sucker
Powerful and does the job well, sturdy design.

Works well
This desoldering pump is a good size and easy to control and activate with one hand. The nozzle is a good size and is small enough to work on tiny electrical circuits. The “trigger” is nicely positioned and responsive enough to prevent tip movement when fired! It ejects the old solder when being primed for the next operation. It really does do what it is designed for.

Like all Weller kit excellent.

Not good quality
My trusted desolder pump I had for 30 years broke. So I thought buying Weller would be the best choice. The pump just jam up all the time and tin get stucked in nuzzle. I ended up using a 3 pounds cheap one instead of the Weller. I am normally a fan of Weller tools but not this one.

Not as good as my older de-soldering tools

I had the plastic version of this solder sucker I got from Radio Shack. It lasted twenty years in my hobby shop! This is exactly the same design, but in aluminum. The quality seems good and it works great. Worth the extra money for the aluminum one in my opinion, even though the plastic one lasted a long time for me.
