Excellent for foot pain!
I suffer from neuromas in both feet, which make me feel like I’m stepping on rocks when barefoot, and this mat has helped me a lot and improved my quality of life! The rubber air-filled pockets do provide cushion and a lot of comfort, much more than the cushioned thin foam mats. The mat is of very good quality, it’s non-slip and also has excellent suction power; once you place it on the tub, it won’t slide, it 100% stays in place. I do remove it after every shower, rinse it to prevent residue build-up, then roll it up and leave it to dry on the bathtub corner seat to prevent mildew and/or bacteria. To sum up: even if you don’t suffer from foot pain, I totally recommend this mat cause it provides a lot of comfort!!!

EXCEPTIONAL MAT
I wasn't sure what to expect after reading reviews. But I needed a mat and after reading and also noting the review responses by the company, I made the effort to read and follow the directions that accompanied this which specified how to use it the first time and make sure it sticks to the tub. Some reviews contained reports of problems with it not adhering, and the potential dangers as a result. Look, if you follow the directions that come with this mat, you should not have any problems. The directions worked beautifully. Another problem that some reviews mentioned were incidences of mold. I can see where that could happen but if precautions are taken, mold can be avoided by removing the mat after each use and letting it air dry. Leaving it sitting in place where water sits can produce mold, therefore, I suggest removing it and hanging it over the tub side. Cleaning it is relatively easy. I use a scrub brush (meant for dishes) which gets in and around the suction cups nicely. Works like a charm and keeps it in beautiful condition. What sold me on this mat was the claim that it had a cushion. I wanted a mat that was comfortable for bathing purposes. This exceeded my expectations. It's incredibly SOFT and cushiony. Every time I step on it, I'm reminded of how much I like it. It's comfortable to stand on for showers and very comfy to sit on when bathing. My only complaint, (perhaps suggestion) would be to make it larger. It's relatively small and could be so much better if it were bigger.

After a few months.... see addendum toward bottom.
Ok, I have one of those tubs that has a half-pipe bottom that's honestly a near-death trap. I rent so I'm not doing anything about it, except get a really good non-slip mat. I've had a few that were terrible, one that was good but I needed to replace, and then this one. The cups are quite pliable and stick well, you don't feel them them through the material, and ONCE YOU GET IT SET it stays in place quite well. It's very comfortable to the feet as well, and I have bad feet. That said, for whatever reason it tends to flip up on the end so it tends to hold water after your shower, so it will grow some gunk if you don't keep it clean. I have to pick it off the bottom and drain it after every shower. I little bit of a pain, and one I didn't have to have with my previous loofah style one since it was permeable and drained, but got really dingy really fast. Also you do want to spray something on it, I use a disinfecting cleaner that I HOPE won't shorten the life of the thing and rinse it hard after to keep the gunk from accumulating. Still since my primary goal is not having a slip occur when using the tub to shower in then it's very good for that, again as long as you check it before you get on it to ensure no slimy gunk has been growing on it. Of the two most successful ones I've tried, and there may be more but I've tried a number of them, the loofah style with suction cups around the edges and this one are the only ones I know of that honestly make me feel secure when standing on a tub bottom with sloped, rounded edges for a bottom. And I HAVE fallen in the stupid thing in the past. This one is more comfortable to me and stays looking clean much longer with minimal cleaning effort. The loofah style, after a few months, even after going through the washing machine, still looked so dingy I hated having guests look at it and cringe about stepping on it, but it does do a good job of keeping the tub bottom non-slip and drains on it's own. Conclusions; if you don't mind the regularly having to lift it up and hold it vertically to drain it, the doing a weekly at least spraying with a good disinfectant cleaner, then a good hard rinse, it stays looking cleaner and does an excellent job at making you feel secure standing in a tub, AGAIN IF you make sure it's secure to the bottom before stepping fully onto it. ADDENDUM: Well it is great while it lasts. It developed a split in one side that both deflated the "air cushion" and allows water to accumulate inside the thing. It still functions ok and I'll see what these folks will do about it as it's only a few months old. I will add to this once done.

The Best Bathmat!
Our old bathtub has become abrasive as enamel wears off. To offset replacement, we decided to find a soft bathmat. This one fits the bill. The air cushions are ingenious. They're comfortable underfoot when showering or when lying down in the bath. Despite being very smooth, it doesn't get slippery. We haven't had any issues with air loss (or mildew) since we got it in November. On the mildew issue, it is very easy to clean and we also remove it after every use. The suction is strong and doesn't move during use. Overall, this is a significant improvement over the classic hard, thin mats. It's particularly great for those with sensitive skin (especially babies) and foot problems, but I'd recommend it for any one who wants an elevated bath experience.

Air-filled cells deflate over time
I was initially pretty happy with this bath mat. Though I noticed 1 or 2 slightly deflated air cells when it arrived, I decided to keep it because I didn’t think its overall appearance and use would be affected. At first it was very comfortable underfoot and felt securely non-skid. Over time though, more and more cells have deflated and lost their cushiony feel, and the mat now looks and feels like a soggy mess (see photo). Given our relatively light use and good care taken (2 average weight adults, no kids or pets, followed recommended care of daily rinsing and hanging up to dry), I’m disappointed that this mat didn’t hold up well. I wouldn’t buy it again.

Great cushioning. I use it in the shower rather than the bath, as I couldn't find an equivalent shower mat.

Il est très bien et solide dans le bain

Heavy, doesn’t stick to the bath and is definitely not non-slip. Hopeless.

Doesn't stick down to the bath surface so is a slip hazard. Shame as it perfect for standing on in the shower if you suffer from sore feet due to its air bubble pocket system.
