Dihl 68L Origin Automatic Motion Sensor Kitchen Waste Bin, Silver with Chrome Plated Lid, Touchless Hands Free Dust Bin, Stainless Steel, 68 Litre Capacity

Previously had an automatic sensor bin. It was the same length as this bin but was a lot narrower which made removing the bin liner very hard (every single time) had to make sure the bin was never more than 3/4 full before emptying, even then it was difficult. Also previous bin took quite large batteries to operate and we switched it off as it was a "nuisance" and we were better off opening it with our hands. This bin takes standard AA batteries and its at the perfect height for the sensor to work when you go near it. Nice clean design, wide and spacious, which makes it easy to remove the bin liners. Great kitchen bin. I would definitely recommend as it is much better than our old one. Also it has had 3 big falls so far (a month of having it) little nephew has been pushing it over everytime we've been emptying the bin. Second time it fell the sensor did stop working but dad fiddled with it and it worked fine...so it seems quite durable 👍 Today the sensor does seem a bit low, im guessing battery is finishing. Will replace batteries to see if that is the problem. Overall great bin, would definitely recommend!

Really great product. Easy and clean to open and close. You can use the buttons to open and close or use the sensor function. Holds a lot of waste too. Really good quality bin

The bin was good, battery lifetime ok , was quite fun and done it's job fine, until it didn't after about 6 months the cog mechanism failed, on inspection it was snapped, quite a cheap plastic cog. It had never been put under pressure. I contacted the suppliers and they reluctantly sent out a replacement lid. Which has lasted around 5 months and the same thing has happened. As it has done nothing but it's job, opening and closing under no pressure I can only assume this is a manufacturing fault. If the cheap mechanism was metal instead of plastic it would probably last forever. But the cheap plastic cog clearly has issues. Two in less than a year? I would definitely avoid this product. As you can see in the pictures the plastic is faded at the break suggesting the crack in it was existing from before the eventual complete breakdown of the mechanism.

This is a good, functional bin that sits in the narrow space in my kitchen and is easy to clean. 5 stars for customer service - the mechanism in the lid broke and I was sent a replacement within 48 hours. Very pleased, thank you so much.

This unit has been in use for some considerable time and has performed well. Adequate storage for kitchen use with black refuse bag being used as a liner. As the finish is polished easy to spot stains and clean as appropriate. Lid sensor has functioned well. Well worth the purchase price

al di là dei piccoli difetti (non essendoci più fra i prodotti nuovi di questa dimensione, l'ho presa fra i ricondizionati) il lamierino inox è troppo sottile. Il coperchio non ha un incastro, cosa che mi aspetterei da un prodotto con tale prezzo a nuovo; occorre invece spingere indentro la lamiera della parte posteriore del bidone per inserirlo, altrimenti non entra. Delusa anche per l'aspetto "ricondizionamento" perchè, oltre le piccole ammaccature e graffi che mi aspettavo e che giustificano il prezzo ridotto che ho pagato, ha anche il pezzo di plastica nero della base rotto e, a mio parere, se fosse un prodotto realmente ricondizionato almeno questo sarebbe dovuto essere sostituito. Infine il coperchio è plastica color inox, all'apparenza poco robusto (si vedrà nel tempo), bene l'apertura a sensore che ho iniziato ad usare solo stamattina perchè, probabilmente mi era sfuggito, le batterie adatte sono ben 4 torce, non stilo come credevo. Ottimo il litraggio, molto bene il design, ma il rapporto qualità prezzo non è dei migliori
