This is the best
This is the finest plastic kit I have ever assembled of anything, from any manufacturer. I have also built literally hundreds of Tamiya kits. I showed the finished product to a friend who owned two D8 Caterpillar bulldozers and he was enthralled by the model as every detail was there; he was able to use the model to explain to me how the real one works. The detail and molding is amazing. The fit is exceptional; most parts are a friction fit that only need a touch of cement to hold. the interior detail is extensive, and the moving parts not only work, they are sturdy enough to move extensively without fear of breaking them. The tracks are a bit tedious to assemble but they work the way they're supposed to and look wonderful. You need advanced modeling skills to build this kit!! But if you qualify you are in for the ride of a lifetime. Hint: a mix of XF-49 Khaki and XF-24 Dark Grey in about a 70/30 ratio will give you a perfect Sand Grey that matches the color painting guide included in the model.
