I am amazed at how much better Lobob Cleaner performs over the Boston cleaner that my opthamologist prescribed. I've been using the Boston cleaner for over two years and have always had trouble wearing my semi-permeable hard lenses for more than 8 hours, after which the became dry and foggy. Putting eye drops in my eyes would alleviate this somewhat, but clearer vision and greater comfort would last only a few minutes. My solution to this problem was to wait until the early afternoon to put my contacts, so I could watch television at night without a bottle of eyedrops at my side. After reading the reviews of the Lobob cleaner on this site, I decided to give it a try.Much to my surprise, the very first morning that I put my contacts in after a Lobob cleaning it was like turning on a light bulb. Not only could I see much better, but the lenses were more comfortable than they have ever been! I love this stuff. It's almost like an addiction. I can wear my contacts all day with only a minimal amount of fogging after 12 hours or so.The Lobob cleaner is so much better at removing protein deposits and other associated crud that I wonder why my doctor didn't recommend it in the first place? Is the some secret negative attached to Lobob? That's certainly a question I will put to my opthamologist the very next time I see him. I have been using this stuff for over 30 days with no ill effects and my comfort and vision have been greatly improved.Note: I have since checked with both my opthomologist's office and Lobob. I suspected that the reason my doctor didn't know too much about Lobob products was because Lobob doesn't have a rep in this area. A call to a sweet lady at Lobob confirmed my suspicions. She said, "Oh, we're just a tiny little company - we don't have any reps!" Nobody from Lobob is buying those docs lunch and distributing free samples to them, as are the boys from Boston and other Big Pharma guys and gals. Even in your doctor's office, it's "out of sight, out of mind."

Shipping fee nominal.As a gas permeable/hard contact lens wearer for almost 40 years, this is by far and unequivocally THE BEST cleaner EVER. I've used other manufacturer's bottled cleaner liquids AND protein removers and THIS PRODUCT IS THE BEST. The fluid is clear and feels slippery while use with the contact and CLEANS (unlike others, which are milky white and dubious cleaning performance leaving smeared residue). I have no intent to buy any other gas permeable cleaning product now that I found this! Bottle is 2-3x the product volume of competitors and overall is a GREAT value for the price - aside from its impeccable cleaning ability.This product is a keeper. Why is it not readily found in retail stores - it would put competitors out of business!

I have worn RGP lenses for 25 years. I used to use Bausch & Lomb cleaners, and always needed to use enzyme tablets about once per week. If I didn't use the enzymes, it seemed as though my lenses would get some buildup, and would start to bother me. Did this for years. B&L came out with Simplus, which was supposed to have enzymes in it (which didn't work so well for me) and i was having more and more trouble trying to find the enzyme tablets, or drops. They were also getting pretty expensive. About a year ago I was hunting for enzymes and stumbled across Lobob. it gets rave reviews so I gave it a shot. The cleaner worked so well, I have switched my soaking solution and cleaner to Lobob and don't need enzymes at all any more because my lenses never get uncomfortable. I wish I had found this a looong time ago.

This stuff is cheap and effective but it is the same clear color and slightly thick viscosity as my rinsing solution! This morning I was in a rush and put a full lens-load into my eye and YOWIEEEEE!!! Took about half an hour for the redness to go away, so watch out!

At $9.89 a bottle for twice the amount (Boston cleaner costs this for one ounce), including super saver shipping, plus the positive reviews, I decided to try this product and have been using it for the past three weeks. I have been wearing hard contact lenses since they first came out. When was that? Okay, I was about 15, and it has been 49 years since they were invented (don't do the rest of the math). Suffice to say that I have tried a lot of cleaning products. The one thing that I have particularly noticed is that the cleaner takes any deposits off the lenses and keeps them clear throughout the day. I'm so pleased with the performance of this cleaner that I'm about to order another bottle while the price is low.

I have been a devoted user of Lobob Optimum ESC (Extra Strength Cleaner) for 5 years. I wear gas perm bifocal contact lenses, am allergic to many preservatives, and suffer from dry eyes which makes the contacts develop a film by the end of the day.There is absolutely no product that I have found that does as good a job cleaning my contacts. In fact, I actually STORE my contacts in the cleaning solution every night. The contacts are clean in the morning, stay clean longer, and I am not bothered by reactions to preservatives because this product is preservative free.It is difficult to find where I live. The only store that carried it was Walgreens and now they have discontinued it. I ordered 4 bottles from Amazon and will continue to do so.Try it!

I liked the travel/trial size the doctor's office gave as sample better. This is too big to take with you every day but Lobob refuses to sell the travel/trial size anywhere except their website where the shipping cost is insane. It seems to work fine but I worry about contamination because the bottle is so large. Also difficult to find locally except for at one national chain drug store. I don't understand why it is not sold in more stores and I don't understand why I can't buy the travel/trial size locally either. I also wish there were other alternatives I was allowed to use because it is pricey.
