It fitted perfectly on my 23 year old Sears Kenmore fridge model # 253.72242201 , mine had a 4 wire plug , the new fan motor has a 2 wire black cord , so I connected the red (hot) wire to the black wire with raised ribs on the side , the 2 blue wires (neutral) to the other black wire with the smooth side , the green wire (ground) to one of the motor bracket screws, using a wire connector with an eye hole . Before tightening up the 3 arm bracket screws make sure to position the fan blade center in the housing , spin the fan to check it doesn’t touch the blades & tighten up the screws . Very nice fan motor . Spins a little faster than my original but , i believe it’s better to cool the condenser.

Easy to install and save our Whirlpool refrigerator

My refrigerator is a 1985 Kenmore model no. 106.8740980. First noticed freezer wasn't keeping things frozen. Opened back cover and the exhaust fan was not spinning. If I gave the blade a push it would run for a while and then quit. Ordered this new fan and it was shipped quickly and well packaged. I decided there was more room, and it would be easier to take out the three sheet metal screws that held the frame and replace it that way rather than trying to replace the fan motor in place (see pics). Much easier and I could torque the bolts holding the fan down much better this way than trying to do it in the tight confines behind the motor. Everything was an exact fit and it is now working perfectly. Back in business for a reasonable cost and some time. Saved our refrigerator which we can no longer get the same color.

I discovered my older Maytag refrigerator condenser fan motor was limping along, and taking time to spin up. I didn't realize it not getting up to speed. And I was disappointed to see the cost of the exact replacement Maytag motor. I continued my research and found this motor was the exact match I was seeking. Now my Maytag refrigerator is operating beautifully, and much more efficiently. Thank you!

Item fit perfectly for an older Maytag . The whole process took about 30 mins and my refrigerator is back like new .

I used this product to replace a failed condensor motor on an old Amana BC20JW fridge. This product is fully compatible with the original US made product. The older seemed to have a more robust case (likely because it is 20+ years old). The other minor difference is that the original product had an extra screwhole in the housing, to which a grounding wire was attached. This unit does not have that extra screwhole - but if your grounding cable is long enough, you can attach it to one of the screws that hold the motor. My ground cable was not long enough to do this, so I had to extend the cable by attaching extra wire. The unit itself is excellent, and it works flawlessly. However, removing the old unit an installing the new unit in this particular refrigerator takes the patience of Job and the manual dexterity of a carpet weaver. Due to the space constraints under the fridge, it took 4 hours to remove and replace the 6 screws that held the motor and the extension arms. The trick is to remove the fan blade first. Then unscrew the 3 extension arms, each of which is held by a sheet metal screw to th mounting frame. Then you can remove the extension arms from the motor (each held with 1 screw). Reverse this process when installling the new motor. It takes a lot of patience.
