Giro Bexley MIPS

This beast of a helmet is a great pick for an ebike. It is large, and slightly heavy, but an integrated visor and backlight make many things forgivable. Right?PROS: Tank. Comfy. Nice earflappage. Visible like a giant pulsing pink Qtip. Visor absolutely rocks, but is tricky to pull down. Makes a wicked base for a cosplay helmet of some sort. But who would do that? Minimalist packaging is refreshing.CONS: the backlight is just crazy bright, the blinking modes are the stuff of seizures, the material choices for the shell are meh. At this price it should come with a spare MIPS liner and some optional reflective stickers like I handcut badly on mine. I mean, safety stickers… even Colin Furze provides safety stickers. While the inner materials are great, I wonder how long they can last.It is big, hot, slightly muffling, awesome at speed, relatively visible tank and seems worth every penny. I also love the one hand clasp. Very close, but could be better.

Have to return it. The quality of the helmet is perfect - no concerns here. But photos are misleading, the helmet is extremely huge. I'm a big man with a big head, but even on me it looks like a monstrous mushroom hat. The reason for that is very thick internal insets, with multiple layers. Certainly that add to the safety, as well as to the helmet size. It like wearing a helmet on the top of another helmet.They should add the photo how the helmet looks on a real person, that will give customers a better perspective (so taking one star). Personally I'm returning it only because of its size. But again - this is a high quality product, and if you don't mind wearing the Darth Vader's hat on public, you won't regret!

Otherwise it fits wonderfully and the light is super bright. I would have given it a 5 star review if it came with everything.

As advertised. You only have one head and this helmet is worth every penny.Take that back. Not every penny, the shield fell off while riding and it's impossible to put back on. I wish they would of considered an easier way to make the shield easier to replace.

Had someone cut me off while I was traveling fast and standing on my pedals on my ebike. Took a nasty spill on my back and head. My head hit the asphalt so hard that it cracked the back plastic of the helmet and the liner. I was a little loopy for a few hours afterward but the ER doc thought it was only a very minor concussion. My back and neck have been a mess. This helmet was worth every penny and I've just received a replacement. If you have a speedpedelec, I would highly recommend the Bexley. It's comfortable, convenient and safe.I purchased the titanium version. It has a slight rough but VERY reflective surface.

What can I say? The helmet is of the highest quality, meeting various safety standards. The self contained lighting feature is beyond expectations...EXCEPT IS NO USB CORD PROVIDED for charging this helmet. Customer service is quick to respond to sadly state that a USB cable/cord is not included.

Great helmet, I love the easily raised or lowered eye shield, the huge light with 3 modes on the back of the helmet is awesome, and the interior padding is top quality and very comfortable. I really love this helmet and I’m glad I splurged, to me it was worth it. It’s nice to find a well made, quality product, I’m glad I didn’t settle for a less expensive, cheaply made product.

I ride an average of 100 miles in a good week mostly city, paved areas.This helmet is very comfortable, and feels safe; it does not overheat and the visor is good for day and night.Overall an excellent value for the money.I am very pleased with this investment.

Solide verarbeitet, mit gut funktionierendem RücklichtVisier in die Helmschale hochschiebbar, jedoch ist nicht klar wie man dieses anfassen kann. Nachschauen in der Bedienungsanleitung leider Fehlanzeige, die ist universell wohl für alle Giro Helme. Das finde ich enttäuschend in der Preiskategorie.Hier wäre zumindest eine zusätzliche Bedienungsanleitung doch von Vorteil... denn man will sich ja nicht ins Visier fassen um die Scheibe zu bewegen durch die man später etwas sieht oder ggf. auch nicht!Ebenfalls fehlt eine Info wie das Visier ggf. zu tauschen geht.Das Rücklicht ist gut und gut zu bedienen, auch wenn es heller sein dürfte. Sollte der Accu einmal verbraucht sein, gibt es keinen Hinweis wie dieser zu wechseln ist. Außerdem wackelt das Accubedienmodul ein bisschen, diese Passung könnte besser sein.Die Leuchtdauer mit 1,5 - 2 Std. ist leider sehr mager, wünschenswert wären hier schon 5 - 6 Std. wie bei vergleichbaren produkten für den 1/2 Preis.Zu guter letzt ist das Ladekabel nur ca. 10 cm lang, das ist im Prinzip untauglich und sollte besser ca. 1 m lang sein.Die Farbe weiß ist eher ein gräuliches weiß, was aber auf Dauer ggf. besser zu reinigen ist.Ansonsten ist der Helm sehr solide und wertig. Der Magnetverschluss super und die Passform sehr bequem und gut einzustellen

Très bonne qualité générale. Solidité. Large lumière arrière. Visière bien couvrante, retractable à l'intérieur et ne gênant pas le nez. Couvre oreilles très protecteurs du vent et du froid ( 30min à 5°C sans problème) et ne gênant pas l'écoute des bruits extérieurs.Problème 1: la visière est teintée, ce qui ne me convenait pas pour rouler de nuit dans des endroits peu éclairés (campagne).Problème 2: la peinture grise est ultra réfléchissante mais très rugueuse et cela frotte à votre écharpe en hiver. Désagréable quand on doit tourner la tête pour vérifier à chaque intersection.Problème 3: la version L est censée couvrir les diamètres de tête de 59 à 62cm. Je fais 59,5 et un peu trop lâche même serré au maximum.

Beim Fahren fühlt es sich an als ob der Helm ständig vom Kopf fällt. Würde ich nie wieder kaufen. Außerdem lachen einen die Passanten wegen der riesigen Größe aus.

Der Helm macht einen sehr wertigen Eindruck und passt auch sehr gut. Allerdings ist er viel schwerer und größer, als man das nach den Produktfotos erwarten würde. Vielleicht hätte es mich stutzig machen müssen, dass nirgends im Netz Bilder des Helmes "in action", also auf einem Kopf, gezeigt werden. Egal. Bei einem Skihelm kann man diese Größe und das Gewicht noch akzeptieren, zumal der Helm dort auch noch dem Kälteschutz dient. Dieser Helm ist aber deutlich schwerer als etwa mein Skihelm und die Vorstellung, ihn im Sommer zu tragen, wenig attraktiv. Also zurück.

Il casco è ottimo. Protegge benissimo la testa, ma il peso è davvero eccessivo per essere un casco da bici. E poi è davvero enorme.... insomma, credo che si possa trovare di meglio anche a minor prezzo
