This worked great for our trailer door it is not the soft close hinge
I have learned there are two different types of hinges usually each RV door will have one or two of these that sort of binds and makes the door not open or close easily in the wind and then there is a regular hinge or two that are easy and have no resistance. Apparently on my door the top and bottom were soft close or whatever they call it and the middle one was just a normal non resistance hinge. I use this one to replace the top hinge and now my door actually closes a little too easy and doesn't stay open in anything more than a light breeze. So figure out which one you need and order accordingly but great quality hinge.

Replaced frozen friction hinge
I own a 2017 Cherokee 274DBH that I bought new in the fall of 2016. Noticed the front entry door was getting harder to open and close one the door was rubbing the door frame. Over about a year, it got so bad that we couldn’t use the front door anymore and there was about a half inch of daylight that would shine around it when it was closed. Dealer told me it was a warped door, had to replace entire assembly, would be around $1500. I didn’t think that sounded right. Upon closer inspection, I found that the bottom hinge was badly bent. Tried to straighten it in place but couldn’t. Found this one on here. It is the wrong color and the leaves are not in the same order, but I thought I would give it a shot for $20. After removing my original, it was almost completely frozen. Had to drill some holes to make this one work, but my door is now better than new! And it saved me A LOT of money. All it took was a couple hours work.

Most important is this is NOT a friction hinge, which was a lousy idea
This is the replacement for friction hinges. Friction hinges caused nothing but trouble on my RV and in my opinion are a horrible design idea. These hinges swing freely and allow the door to close completely. The location of the screen door hinge is in a different place but no problem to install with self tapping screws. Holes will need to be drilled where there are rivets (which must be grinded or drill out) on the existing hinge. I liked this hinge so much I'm going to replace the friction hinges on my RV second door.

Close Enough
I had to cut the hinges off of the door to my RV when the door latch broke. The OEM does not sell replacement hinges. Instead, they want you to buy a new door and doorframe at hundreds of dollars. The Lippert hinges are not an exact replacement, but they are close enough that I was able to make them work. They are well worth the time and effort. (Photos added).

Sturdy, well made and durable
This is a review of: Lippert Components 198295 Hinge Assembly I purchased this door hinge to replace a damaged one on my travel trailer door. I was a perfect match and the hinge itself was installed with no problems. However, the project itself was an ordeal as the entire trailer door assembly had to be taken down. Once the damaged hinge was removed, new holes were drilled on both the door and the trailer door casing for securing the new hinge. Three guys wrestled installing the door assembly to the trailer because it was awkward and heavy holding the door in the proper position so the hinges, three total, could be aligned correctly. After almost 2 years, this replacement hinge is still doing its job, and I recommend Lippert Components brand. This review was written by LynKin.

great fit for Lance 1191 dorr hinges
Pre-drilled door hinges 3 holes were opposite old hingeset. but easy drill and rivit with 3/16's rivets. Used lipstick to mark holes on new frame hinge to get perfect lineup for new holes.

One Hinge, not Multiple
Description is unclear and I read a couple reviews where people mentioned that they had gotten multiple hinges in their order so I only ordered one... and just for clarification incase anyone is wondering... this is ONE hinge for this price. One simple piece of non-pre-drilled metal slotted into another piece to form an incredibly simple hinge... not a good price.

Great hinge.
You must drill your own holes in these hinges. I bought them to replace the awful friction hinges that came with my travel trailer. The center hinge is just fine and need not be replaced. However the top and bottom hinges are the friction type. Also buy and install the latch used to hold the door open.

Non- friction hinge, easy to install, fit perfectly.
Our bottom friction hinge seized and sounded like a shot gun the last time it opened. Not a welcome sound a campground, or anywhere. We were able to remove the seized hinged and replace in exactly the same holes. Most of the holes were predrilled and lined up perfectly with existing holes. We carefully measured hole locations on the 3 leafs that weren't predrilled and predillwd ourselves. It all fit together perfectly. The hardest part of the whole procedure was removing the rivets from the door frame. We used a dremel but perhaps just drilling them out would be easier. Don't be intimidated by this seemingly scary job.

replaces friction hinge
Who ever thought the friction hinges were a great idea should find a new job !! I needed to replace 2 of the 3 hinges on my trailer as it was causing closure issues, top and bottom are friction BTW . The rivets that originally holds the hinges are tough , I used cobalt drill bits . Most of the mounting holes lined up so used the same holes otherwise . It takes some getting use to that the door now swings freely . We usually have AC on so the door doesn't get left open . I read some place a new door assembly is $1200 , so the hinges are cheap .

Wont fit to replace Atwood hinge
Make sure it is the correct hinge for your camper. Originaly I have an Atwood hinge. This hinge, despite the fact that is a good quality hinge cannot replace the one I have. I had the weld the broken original Atwood

Before you purchase an entire door from a trailer dealership…
After the bottom friction hinge on my 2020 WolfPup seized that held my screen door, I was told it wasn’t covered under warranty and would have to pay to get an entire new door installed because, as per the dealer “that’s not how it works” (ie can jus tree lace the hinge). After saying no thanks and doing a bit of research found the factory hinge from The hinge manufacturer that Chereeokee/ForestRiver uses on their friction doors. Was actually pretty easy to install with a little bit of elbow grease. Door is much less stubborn to move and less stuff. In my opinion it was an issue from the get go in purchasing the trailer, and it seems to be not an uncommon issue with these hinges. While I think it should have been covered to fix it by the dealership, I don’t understand why they continue to say you must replace the whole door. Needless to say very happy I only paid ~$40 rather than $1000+. Crazy.
