Great Option for Dogs who crave good eats
The shredded bits didn’t trick my dog into thinking I’d put “human food” in her bowl, which I was hoping for since she hated her last kibble. She’s too smart for that. Still, she absolutely LOVES this food so much more than the other brand (which I won’t name), it didn’t upset her stomach at all, and she was thrilled to finally have something tasty in her bowl!

My Dog Inspects the Bowl First. This One Gets No Inspection.
We have been through the dog food shuffle before. The finicky sniff, the walk-away, the existential stare that says "you expect me to eat this?" Pro Plan Shredded Blend Beef and Rice gets none of that. The bowl is empty before I finish washing my hands. The formula combines hard kibble with soft shredded beef pieces, and that texture combination genuinely seems to matter to dogs. It is not just a gimmick. Beef is the first ingredient, and the formula includes live probiotics for digestive health, omega-6 fatty acids for coat condition, and a balanced protein-to-fat ratio for maintaining healthy body weight. After several months on this food, coat condition has visibly improved and digestion has been consistent with no issues. The 35 lb bag is a good value and holds up well if stored properly in an airtight container. Worth noting: if you are switching from another food, transition gradually over about a week to avoid stomach upset. That applies to any food change, but it is worth the reminder. This is manufactured in the USA by Purina, a company with a long track record in pet nutrition. For anyone who wants a vet-trusted formula without paying the premium brand markup, this is a genuinely excellent everyday food.

My dog loves it!
My dog really loves this food! The beef and rice flavor seems to be a favorite, and the quality is great. It’s a good option for everyday feeding, and I’m happy with the results. Definitely recommend!

Save money, but be on the lookout for a huge box
This is the preferred dog food for our two dogs. We have found that it is about $18-$20 cheaper here online than buying it at the local pet store and then having to haul it home and lug it into the house. We just wish that when this large bag of dog food is packed in the hugely oversized box they use that they would add some crushed paper or something because it’s very unruly for the poor driver to deliver and for us to bring it in the house. Be sure to settle the box flat before you open the cardboard box-to avoid damaging the bag. Our dogs do love this flavor as their daily meals.

My dogs loves the beef and rice!
My golden retriever seems to prefer this flavor (beef and rice) over the others. It seems like the different textures in this food would appeal to dogs.
