Sturdy and perfect for small spaces
First, I want to mention that the “wood” materials are VERY cheap quality. They’re particle board covered in a very thin layer of colored stretchy film (I don’t think this could even be classified as a laminate- it’s essentially thin stretchable plastic wrap). It looks nice assuming it’s in good condition, but I’d avoid getting it wet or handling it roughly to prevent it from bubbling or tearing along the edges. For that reason, I definitely wouldn’t buy this for someone else unless they realize the wood materials are that cheap. The rest of the hardware is surprisingly sturdy though. Other than the wheels (which are very low quality plastic), the rest of the hardware is metal and the hinges are actually pretty good quality. My husband and I aren’t very savvy at putting together furniture, but this was actually very easy for us- everything is clearly labeled and the instructions are easy to follow. In total it took about 2.5 hours for us to put this together. It’d probably be quite a bit faster for anyone who is even remotely more competent at putting together furniture. I bought this because both my husband and I work from home but live in a small apartment. There isn’t enough space in our living room for two full time desks and I was tired of being stuck in the bedroom all day where the only other desk would fit. This is perfect because I can use it during the day for work and then fold it up when I’m done for the day and set my chair next to it. Now my desk + chair during non-work hours take up just the amount of space as a normal desk would- which means my chair doesn’t have to be away from the wall obstructing our walking paths. I can finally also work in the living room and I couldn’t be happier! I would definitely purchase this again; but I also acknowledge that this may not last up for years and I might actually have to buy it again in the future to keep my setup looking nice once this one starts looking ratty.

Good desk for my purposes
As others have said, the wheels are flimsy and they do not roll in the correct direction in unison. Otherwise, it is as advertised. There are no written directions - only pictures. It took me close to 3 hours to do it, not that I was in a rush. I have experience with tools and assembly, and this was a bit of a challenge for me. Highly recommend using a blanket or rug underneath as you assemble to avoid scratches. The hardest part are the rails for the drawers. I suspect improper installation of the rails is the issue for some reviewers who say the drawers do not slide smoothly. I recommend drilling small holes for the screws when installing the rails. I cracked one of the drawers before deciding to do that for the rest. The tools supplied were sufficient, except for deciding to drill some holes for the rails. I had to remove and re-install the rails due to improper installation on the first drawer. Once assembled, it folds away nicely. The table top and drawers seem sturdy enough for my purposes, but be aware that they are not "heavy duty". I would say it is intended for use by adults who will exercise a reasonable amount of care in folding and moving the desk.

Great desk, challenging assembly
-----------TLDR----------- PROS: -- The design is really clever! Functional and convenient. -- Product is as advertised. -- All the pieces for assembly included plus spare screws. -- Written directions and video directions were easy to follow. CONS: -- Price is a little steep for composite wood, cheap metal, and assembly required. -- Assembly was a challenge. I needed a Phillips-head screwdriver, a flat-head screwdriver, a precision metal shaving tool kit, and a power drill in addition to the tools included with the product (two small wrenches). -- The wheels are low quality and do not perform well together. This desk is such a clever design! It is especially perfect as a workspace for small projects such as sewing, crafts, and school work to list a few examples. It solves my problem of wanting a work desk but not having a space to permanently dedicate to it. It's not a huge desk but there is enough tabletop for my laptop, a text book and room for writing plus storage for my supplies. It comfortably fits me and the legs of my folding chair (18.5in) underneath when I'm using it. Though, I don't imagine it will be able to accommodate much more than that. If I were to improve on this desk, I would prefer a piece that sits just below the desk and rolls out from underneath for a keyboard or additional writing space. It wouldn't increase the footprint by very much when folded away. Also, the wheels are less than ideal and do not roll smoothly together at all. I plan to replace them with better quality wheels. Lastly, the price is a bit steep for the cheap metal and composite wood that makes up this desk. Even though I plan to use it heavily and it's super functional and convenient, I can't say a $200 price point is appropriate. $100-$125 seems more reasonable. Now on to the assembly, which posed the greatest challenge. The pieces are well-labeled and the assembly video included on the description page is SUPER helpful if the written directions leave you confused. I imagine most of those who complained about an uneven table or drawers that don't function well likely did not assemble the desk properly and take time to line up the pieces, etc. My challenge came with the "butterfly" type pieces that were included. There are holes that are punched into the legs of the desk where these two butterfly pieces are supposed to rest. These holes were not fully punched which means the butterfly pieces could not completely fold closed. If these pieces cannot fold closed, then the moving leg will not fully open on the desk which will defeat the entire purpose of the desk. I fixed this by using a precision metal shaving tool to shave away the small piece left in the punched hole so that the butterfly pieces would fit properly. (The precision metal shaving tool kit cost about $13 at a home improvement store and took about 10min to correct.) The other issue with assembly is that there are no holes drilled into the back of the drawers to attach the back pieces nor were there holes to affix the metal pieces to the bottom of the drawers that allow them to slide. Luckily, I have a power drill so this was not an issue for me. However, for those who do not have access to one may be spending a little more time on this portion of assembly. The wood is soft so you will likely be able to create the holes by screwing them in by hand, but I imagine it will be a pain in the buttons. Am I glad I bought this? Yes. It solves a practical problem for me. Would I buy this desk again? For a slightly cheaper price-point, absolutely. Would I recommend this desk to others? At a slightly cheaper price-point, absolutely. With a warning that assembly will be a challenge. Must have the proper tools.

Perfect size for work and easily stored
I have small office desk which is a bit too small when working from home (covid). This was the perfect choice. It allowed me to expand my desktop but it also is the perfect piece for my quilting - extra storage for my sewing materials and easily movable. The same area becomes our extra bedroom and it folds up very easily to set up an extra bed in the room. Someone else commented that it isn't easy to unlatch the dropleaf board to store but mine is very easy to convert from open to compact. The desktop and drawer materials are nice and solid. Whatever the coating is on the desktop and drawers, it is nice and hard and does not easily scratch or mark. Excellent buy for a portable work area.

Great for small space. Not too crazy about showing 4 wheels on the front when the side piece is folded down.

I followed instructions but when it came time to slide the drawers into the desk, this was a no-go. The drawers do not slide at all. Cannot open and close the drawers. I would like my money back PLEASE!

I like it, the leg room is not great but it is great to have a table that you can just throw all your things into and fold up at the end of a long week.

We have parts missing CL rail for drawer . 2 larger plastic( nylon) plugs 2 smaller plastic nylon plugs(nylon plugs) as per user manual To mount the top drawer we would have to leave the shelf (#3) out as there is not enough room for both( shelf #3and a top drawer) the diagram shows that the are both there. The diagram indicates there is adequate space. Please resolve this issue as we don’t want to return it as we have spend a great deal of time assembling .

I deeply regret spending what I did on this desk. While it will serve its purpose, I could have purchased a better quality and more attractive desk for much less at IKEA.
