Works good. Replaced a damaged blade for animal clippers I use to shave my head.

Bought as spare, seems genuine, works well
I have tons of blades, but somehow ended up with only one 4F, which I use all the time. I bought this to let me have one blade off being sharpened and one blade to use. It has what appear to be genuine Oster markings and worked when I put it in my clippers and turned it on, with the teeth moving back and forth as they should. It seemed very sharp, especially compared to my old dull 4F. Very pleased with this purchase.

Great for mammillan hair
Use it on your dog. Use it on yourself. Use it freely between the two. The blade will work equally well between humans and animals. Give yourself a buzz cut, or your poodle. The only difference is marketing.

GROOMERS PROBABLY ALREADY KNOW THIS!
First of all, I am NOT a groomer! But I do have three small dogs: 2 long coat chihuahuas, and one Peke/Shitzu mix. The blade did not work on the chihuahuas, pulling at their coat and generally making a mess. However, the Peke/Shitzu mix has a different fine coat quality and the blade worked beautifully on him!! Bottom line for me is that since I purchased the blade specifically for him, I am very happy with it -- but I won't try to use it on the other two dogs again. Groomers probably already know which blades to use on which dogs, and it would be helpful if manufacturers put something in their descriptions that would help us amateurs choose.

One Use & Too Dull to Use Again - AND LOUD!
Ridiculous, one use and it is too dull to use on the second round 2 months later so it is past the return window. The blade is also incredibly loud. I bought the Outer clippers that are quieter than most and this blade makes them sounds like a buzz saw, which is unnerving for my dog.

Great skip tooth guide
My wife and I bought these to trim our two toy poodles hair. Don't listen to those saying skip tooth blades are horrible. My wife and I are not professional dog groomers and we have no problem. It was need because of the thick coat of extremely fine hair on one of my poodles. Makes the initial cut a lot easier then we follow it up with the finishing blade. It is a good length for winter and also summer. I beleive it cuts about 5/8". Oster always has great products.
