I originally bought these for indoor use as my elderly mother wanted something for her stairs at night so she didn't have to keep a main light on all the time. At 10 meters (30 feet) there is plenty of rope light to run the length of her stairs with extra at the bottom for decoration purposes. She now has a guiding light when going to bed at night and they are bright enough to illuminate the stairs and landing. They are very good quality and from a good brand and would also be perfect for outdoor use over Christmas. The price is very good compared to similar products. I liked these so much that I bought a second set almost straight away to run up my own stairs as both a helpful light and a nice feature. Excellent!

I thought these were a reasonable price. Arrived, tested and working fine, just to use outdoors at Christmas, I can't find a previously set that were about 3 times as thick and stayed up all year, these are nowhere near as robust, as someone mentioned, they are pencil thin, which is good if you want to pass through a narrow opening, the LED's are certainly brilliant white, but i would not leave them out all year unless you are prepared to buy a new set if they get damaged, at first I thought that some of the LED's looked cream coloured and not as bright as others but on closer examination this is due to the way they sit freely within the plastic tube, they can twist around, so don't all face the same direction, you can either twist the tube so they all face the same way or just leave them as its not so noticeable really, it's only a slight difference, they do look well sealed and the settings button (big green) is on the plug, very easy to scroll through the settings if needed. I won't be using all the flashing settings as I just want the static, always on. I will update after using over Christmas.

I wanted these rope lights for around my garage at Christmas. My previous rope lights were sturdy and around 1 to 2 cm in diameter. These were very thin and the electric cable not really long enough. The quality was reasonable, they just didn't feel long lasting, but who can say, i had to return them.

My wife and I bought this rope light to replace and old thicker one that was slowly failing after a number of years. We've been amazed by the brilliance of the lights and how even in daylight they stand out as a great feature. The amount of options (8 - including a sequential mix of all) is more than enough for anyone! We settled on that default mixed mode in the end, simply because the variety is great! This mode comes on automatically when 1st plugged in, as well as after unplugging it, or a cut in power... So, if you plan to use a 3rd party external timer that turns power on/off, be aware of this! In our case that mode is perfect anyway and we run the lights using the built in timer which is switched on using the little rubber button on top of the power adapter (supplied). I used a long press until the button lit up and stayed green, to turn on the 6 hours ON and 18 hours OFF built-in timer. But... It may work with a double press too (as mentioned in the specifications in here). 😉 Once you're using this built-in timer, you can of course use ANY of the 8 Modes, including constant ON and it will always come on with that mode (unless there's a power cut). 😎 Switching modes is super simple and done with that single rubber button too. So decide which mode you like and then turn on the timer. We use this rope light in our back-garden as a feature on our boiler room wall and it's in use throughout the year. Warmly recommended! 🍀

Christmas, that time when we put more and more lights up all over our front garden, house and so on (well, most of us do). At first I've made a mistake as I didn't read item's information and thought I've bought standard thicker rope lights. And you know what??? I'm glad I did! My plan was to put lights around my porch and the door, hence why I wanted rope lights. What I didn't think or know was that there is an option to buy thinner kind of rope lights! Item arrived well packed the very next day on Prime delivery. 10m in length is included by around 3 more meters of thin electric cable & a UK plug. Lights are quite light in weight, soft and easily to be twisted or bent. You'll get 10 plastic attachments and 10 screws included so you can put your lights up anywhere. What I've done is slightly different and bought plastic cable clips (the ones that you hammer on wall), as I've attached rope lights to a wooden porch frame abd around its door. Lights are waterproof but of course the plug isn't! There are several light settings, from still to flickering and the colour is as advertised, cool white! Lights have been up for a week whilst the weather has been cold (-1°c) and very very rainy. So far so good, working! I recommend this product! UPDATE 10th December 2020: I've left these lights up the whole year, in cold, hot, rainy and snowy weather. I did that as if I was to remove them, I don't think I'd be trying to put them up again this year. And so, to my surprise, they still work, same as when I bought them in December 2019.

ordered these lights last minute to take to our caravan now that the nights are drawing in. They are really good and very bright. Shame they came out the tubing while we were putting them up right by the plug, but my hubby was able to fix it with tape, so no harm down. I like them and they are effective, its great that they have a control should you want them to flash and stuff.

Excellent quality, look brilliant, they even have a timer if you want to use it. Great product.
