## Description

Some of you may know me as the Merc with the Mouth. And it’s time to get mouthy. Prepare to get Deadpooled – That’s right, $#*! just got real! Couple things I’d like to get off my chest: I’m a mercenary for hire with an accelerated healing factor. I like to run my mouth. Some say I’m unstable but I’m very stable. (Yep, totally stable) (What about that time we beat the dude with his own arms?) (That doesn’t count) And if you want to know what gets me going in the mornings, it’s chimichangas! (Mmmmm Chimichangas) WHOA, I feel better now. All right. I’m gonna battle for the safety of humans (and bewbs!) and mutants (and bewbs!)

Review: Remember when games were entertaining? High Moon does, and delivers on Deadpool - Here's the thing about this game. It is a generic action game. The combat is just as shallow as God of War or any other action game. The level design and game progression are totally obligatory as if the developers themselves where transcribing Level Design for Dummies. All that is fine. The thing that brings the design above generic is the heart. I care a lot about how much heart goes into a game. High Moon spent time and money on things that are frivolous. Now, that's not necessarily a good thing mind you; but, I become a good thing when the frivolous expenditures are for the player's sake. Models are created for throwaway gags, animations are made, sounds are fabricated, and voice work had to be done all for the sake of entertaining us, the players; all things that could have been glossed over and ignored for the sake of time and money. So in this sense, the design of the game itself is elevated above average. No here's the thing about Deadpool. I was hesitant to play this game because I felt that it would be a really long version of something. Have you seen The Simpsons Movie or Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie? If so, I believe you can relate to me looking at our watches during the film thinking, "I still have that much more to go?" That's what I was afraid of. While Deadpool flirts dangerously close to that (and would definitely get that it very well may for others), I finished Deadpool without feeling that sense of fatigue. With that concern out of the way, I must report that Deadpool is a complete delight and High Moon did something I've never seen anyone else do. Deadpool was the first time that could I relate to such an off-the-wall character. The brilliant way they did this was by never forcibly understand the character, nay. There is no arbitrary narrative dictating to us why Deadpool acts the way he acts. Instead, we simply watch events as Deadpool. That's it. Whenever we watching the X-Men, we might see someone like Deadpool and reflect on how annoying they're being. Now that we get to watch Deadpool, everyone else is a cameo and relative events are just coincidence. Aside from phenomenal character exposition (or lack thereof), the comedy is actually good. I was caught off guard and laughed out loud a few times, much to the chagrin of my nominally stoic facade. The only negative things I would really have to criticize the game about would be the upgrades and bosses. Firstly, however the artist in charge of the upgrade window totally dropped the ball, and I kinda think he worked remotely or for a different company altogether. A lot of the attitude and flamboyant tone of the game is wholly absent from this menu. The highlight around what your selection is slightly more visible that the background, which can be a strain at times, and there is a distinct lack of animations or any user-friendly screen transitions; it's all just really jarring 90's era menu design. The only saving grace from this screen is the comedy. Secondly, there are no nuanced or creative things about the boss fights to balance how horrible they are. In conclusion, Deadpool is a very fun game. As games are meant to be.
Review: A must buy! - I watched the walk-through done by Pewdiepie a long while ago... after seeing the movie I was interested in purchasing the game to experience it first-hand. Not a fan of Pewdiepie but he left out more than I could even imagine. Even idling this game is hilarious. Even a toddler could handle the controls even though I don't suggest a toddler playing this game but those parents that don't mind kids playing M rated games.. so be it. It's FUN to play, you don't get frustrated and I found myself laughing more often then not. Some issues I did have in the game play though is the mechanics for some boss fights. As I stated it's been a long time since I watched the walk-through... I didn't know when the bosses were coming. I'd get stuck against a wall with the boss just ripping me apart and I couldn't move nor could I teleport so I just had to accept my fate and die. I'm sure probably pro-console gamers are baffled on how I could die but seriously at one boss I was stuck between a drainpipe and the boss no matter which button I spammed I couldn't move or teleport. So, be wary... try to avoid walls and confined spaces when you fight enemies. I'd recommend this to anyone that has an inkling for gutter humor. You'd be pleasantly surprised by just how vulgar a game can be.

## Features

- Let's Get Some Action: I made sure to capture all my good sides, so I made my game a third-person, action-shooter. (Yep, you get to look at my heinie.)
- X-Men Groupies: Keep a look out cuz some of my X-Men pals (Whoa, What Pals?!) are making an appearance.
- Insane Combat: I'm really good at killing, so I made it a blast stringing together combos and totally eviscerating my enemies. (Ev-is-cer-a-ting!)
- Weapons Galore: I brought my skills and a buttload of my favorite things. Katanas (check), guns (bang!), explosives (boom), duct tape (quack), and of course, yours truly – ME! (Checkmate!)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Superhero Game of All Time!
*by T***C on January 29, 2015*

Absolutely great game! I had such a fun time playing Deadpool, the only thing I wish was different is that it did not end so quickly. Although it is my own fault because I could not put down this game. I had only recently heard about this game from a friend and decided I would give it a try. I am always skeptical about "superhero" games because they are rarely a lot of fun, but this game is the exception. Everybody loves "The Merc With the Mouth" and this game proves why. With hilarious comments from the hero, and signature breaking of the fourth wall, this game constantly made me laugh so hard I almost spit my drink. The controls are very fluid and combos are a piece of cake in this game. There are fairly customizable loadouts and upgrades for each weapon that bring more advantages to the game. Abilities are a lot of fun to play with, and of course.... BLOOD! Especially after upgrading the bleed effect on the weapons. After beating it on normal I will definitely be going back to play on hard, to hopefully make it last just a bit longer. To anyone who is looking for a fun game as well as some great comedic entertainment, I would HIGHLY recommend this game.
