Does it peel off paint on a door when taken off to reuse?

I have mine stuck to glass window in back door. I don’t think it would peel off paint.

Would this work on my car dash board to hang a little tablet for my son to watch cartoon whilst driving?

It will depend if the dashboard is not curved and is not textured. The suction needs to be air-tight. Also, rather than your son watching cartoons, get him to tell you what he can see outside: changes in landscape - hills, trees, new buildings, animals, clouds, rain, farming, etc, etc. The list is endless. Try games of I-Spy!

What is the depth of these suction cups from the wall?

About 2 inches. We are using these in our conservatory to hold up light fly curtains. They work very well.
