Gentle™ Transition Sippy Trainer Cup, 4 Ounce, Green

My daughter is an absolute terror when it comes to textures and stuff like that. I tried probably 4 or 5 sippy cups before this one... I am so glad I tried this one! This is the ONLY sippy cup she will take. These are super easy to clean and use. If you're still using formula or mixing powder, I would recommend having a bottle specifically for that because these do not mix things well when you shake them. They leak out the top when shaken. They don't leak though when sitting upside down, which my daughter loves to do. At bedtime she just kinda throws it to the side and goes to sleep, no leaking yet! We use it for formula, plant-based milk, juice, etc.

This is the best sippy cup we tried!! We purchased 3 different cups, and this is what we found:. Munchkin cup (on left in picture) - this cup has the softest and most flexible spout; it is very easy for baby to hold; the liquid does not come out too quickly; and the liquid doesn't spill out when turned on its side. Evenflo sippy cup (in middle in picture): this cup has a medium-soft spout (it is firmer than the Munchkin spout, but softer than the Nuk spout); these handles are the easiest for baby to hold out of all the cups we tried. Nuk sippy cup (far right in picture) - this cup was our least favorite; the spout is very stiff and it's pretty much like all the regular hard plastic sippy cups on the market. I absolutely love this little cup! I didn’t realize that the spout is very flexible and soft but I’m so glad it is. My daughter is 8 months old and loves biting and tugging on it when teething. It has held up very well and we use it often as it’s her favorite sippy cup and we’ve had it over a month. For the most part it doesn’t leak but when she bites and pulls, the pressure of it opens the little holes and she’ll sometimes splatter water droplets around. The flow is great and not too fast when sucking, but if your baby bites it while sucking the water may come out too fast. My daughter often does this and gets too much but she doesn’t seem to mind. It just dribbles out the sides of her mouth. I wouldn’t recommend for very young babies unless it’s just water.

The sippy cup is nice because it is lightweight and the two handles on either side make it easy for a young baby to hold it on their own. The nipple, however, is pretty wide and not like a straw at all or a nipple. I don’t like how wide it is because I feel like it didn’t help my baby learn how to drink from a straw. If you’re looking for a sippy cup, this one is definitely great but I personally prefer a straw cup. I do love that this cup does not spill the liquid!

I bought 2 cups over the last 12 months, one less than 3 months ago; both have shed a little bit of plastic right at the spout so they leak and are liable to shed more plastic and I no longer feel comfortable with my toddler using them. Less than 3 months of use for a product that will never decompose seems horrendous. My toddler also does not like them as much as just about any of her other cups. So rather than buy a 3rd of these, I am going to shop around for other options, and I recommend that parents of kids older than 1 do so as well, because they just don't last. They're also awkwardly large and too leaky to pack in a daycare bag or lunchbox. They only seemed helpful for about 2-3 months as my daughter was transitioning to non-milk liquids.

It's great for babies! I use it for my 6 month old. She can drink with ease. It doesn't spill because to drink you have to sort of push the teat together but my baby learnt very quickly how to do it.
