The Morakniv Companion is an all-in-one knife for outdoor enthusiasts with a patterned, high-friction grip that makes it comfortable to hold and easy to handle. The Companion features a 4.1-inch (104 mm) blade of hardened Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel with a three-quarter tang for outdoor and marine applications where knives are commonly exposed to dirt and moisture. Stainless steel knives are less susceptible to corrosion and oxidization than carbon steels, giving them a longer life overall, plus they maintain edge sharpness for optimum cutting performance. The Companion will perform well with camp food preparations, creating tinder, cutting small limbs, and much more. Includes a color-matching sheath with belt clip. Overall length 8.6 inches (218 mm); Blade length: 4.1 inches (104 mm); Blade thickness: 0.1 inches (2.5 mm); Weight w/ sheath: 4.1 oz. (116 g). Limited lifetime manufacturer’s warranty. Made in Sweden. Review: The handle has good grip and a good feel - Bought it as a beater various campfire chores. It has scratched up a bit, but has actually fared very well. It gets fantastically sharp, and keeps its edge for an impressive amount of time for what it costs. After a 3 day camping trip where I made a few feather sticks and some kindling from batoning 1-2 inch thick limbs, it had a slightly rolled edge, but was still mostly paper-cutting sharp. A few passes on a hone brought it back to a razor edge. Its no S30V, but it also doesn't require you to hammer your $100 knife through a log. The handle has good grip and a good feel, the sheath is very functional but I find it cheap feeling and ugly. Its not pretty, but it works very well. I will probably buy a few more as gifts. Review: from kitchen knife to outdoors transformation - I really disliked the handle curvature, but did not want to pay $30 for the Outdoor 2000. It was surprisng how much more "classic" the knife became with just a few simple modifications. I bought the bright orange model. 1. Use another sharp knife to shave off some "carrot" from top where pinky finger holds the grip. 2. Remove just a few slivers from the finger guard. 3. Hacksaw off the silly belt clip. 4. Drill hole for lanyard. 5. Secure knife+lanyard with a heavy duty rubberband to the sheath. Wow! The knife and sheath now feels a lot more like a Pukko instead of a kitchen knife.

Nice
This is a nice knife. It arrives sharp and the metal used is very good quality. The color I chose was a blue one which was definitely light blue in color. There is one little thing to be warned about which is when you take the knife out of its' sheaf it will be stuck (at least mine was) I almost cut my finger but then after a few times of placing the knife back in in its' sheaf it came out fine. I plan on buying another one, but for my father, for Christmas.

Best knife for the price.
This knife is of great quality and rivals more expensive blades In terms of performance and affordability. It is by no means a flashy knife but it's practical and it comes in a variety of colors and styles to make up for it

This is a great Knife, sturdy
This is a great Knife, sturdy , strong, thicker blade than you think. This is a forever quality knife, once you dont abuse it, although some of the videos on youtube shows it can withstand alot of abuse. Dont hesitate to buy.

Value for money!
Excellent knife, SS blade very well finished and thick enough for normal use and abuse. Handle well balanced in mid size hand with solid feeling. Weight & size just right. Highly recommended! If color no issue, go for olive @ $ 12.80!

Buy this
I use this knife a lot at my job and I love it. It's super sharp and the best part is the price--I can cut anything with it and if it breaks who cares, I bought a second one. Get this knife.

Surprised and Impressed
I have had two experiences with these Mora knives. One was cutting hundreds of feet of cardboard and having the blade come out still shaving sharp. Another was simply putting this knife through a torture test. I split and chopped wood and even used this knife for prying wood out of a stump to retrieve a nail. I pulled this knife out and it was unharmed. The blade was still sharp and the tip remained in good condition. I also had used this knife to prepare some food and it worked like a charm. I then told my Mother about using this as a kitchen knife and she was really sure it would cut well because of the handle shape. She has used this to cut cucumbers, tomato's, and some bread. She kept saying that it wasn't going to work, then tried it and was proven wrong. My Dad also used this just recently to cut up some meats and also said how well it performed. Basically just buy this knife and find yourself impressed with it and plan to buy more.
