Using this unit in a simple machine vision role (OCR of the 7 segment water temperature display on my boiler aquastat) and it performs well. I haven't tried to mount it in a housing, so I can't comment on the fit or hole positioning.

The camera works as expected. The interchangeable lens is easy to use. You can put a different lens and adjust the focus. The included lens has quite a bit of distortion, but that is to be expected. My only complaint is the board size, compared to a standard Pi camera it is gigantic. You can kind of see it on the images, but it is even bigger in person. The size reduces the usability of the board, so 4 stars. Other that that everything else works as you would expect.

Very pleased with this purchased. When I started shopping around for a Raspberry Pi camera module I was slightly hesitant. But this item was easy to install and use. It allows you to use all of the camera capabilities of a typical camera, which was what I was looking for - nothing too fancy and difficult to install. For both beginners and seasoned Pi users, this is a cool product.

Well the picture quality is excellent, good, sensor and lens. The mounting holes are tiny and hard to deal with even though there is plenty of space available. One of two failed almost immediately.

I think this is an excellent Pi camera because it has an M12 lens holder and a lens too. It makes it easy to adjust focus including for macro shots, and of course means it can be used with other M12 CCTV lenses too. It's a little bigger than the usual Pi camera boards (see attached photo) but not excessively so, and it's build quality seems good. So overall I'm very happy with it :-)
