It's a great product - and were it more expensive, deserving of three stars. The only two areas where complain is worthy are the weakness of the double-sided tape and the limits inherent in such an underpowered device.The double-sided tape (used to put the whole thing together) did not last - but only the last piece completing the square of the body of the detector. Granted, glue will fix this. Again, for the price, not a dealbreaker by any means. It disappoints most in that it does not deliver on any real metal detecting. And all the rebuttals to its low strength are appropriate - but the fact is, kids want to go out and use it. It detects a nickel at about 1 to 3 inches. So this device, though educational, is not functional. But again, the price is right.ARTEC is one of the few out there who makes an effort to promote STEM education - got to give it to them!
