I've used everything there is to start fires - this stuff is awesome - takes a spark or a flame and burns wet or dry

I tried cutting some off and lighting a fire this weekend on a hike. Turns out the rope is difficult to cut, but it lights with some sparks easy enough.My son built a fire in a rocket stove to cook some food with it.

This works well if you have a naked flame to ignite, but the threads you cut off the stick are not fine enough to ignite via spark. If you commonly use a ferrorod, I would instead recommend Fire Plugs instead.

A must have item for your outdoor adventures for quickly starting emergency fire when available tender maybe damp or wet.
